The answer is B

2. Table header tags display text in BOLD with the default of
The answer is A

3.How can I control the appearance of my tables?

The answer is D

4. Why do I have to always type in both the opening and closing tags of a tag pair before adding attributes or content ?
When using the nesting concept of a tag within a tag, it is easy to get confused. If you organize your layout with opening and closing tags, you will not forget a closing tag while entering the contents.

5. CELLSPACING=" " allows you to specify the distance in pixels between each cell. A small value like 1 means that each cell is almost touching the next cell. A larger value means that each cell is far apart from its neighbors (both horizontally and vertically).
True or False?

The answer is False- I think.
05/06/01- The real answer is true, upon review of my notes, I had overlooked the information and not included the vertical control in CELLSPACING.

6. What alignment should you give the page layout table for a border background:
The answer is D

7.What is the purpose of using the "transparent gif" to set the left margin?
The purpose of using the "transparent gif" is to adjust its width to equal the width of the border on the background used. It fills the first cell invisibly in order for the text to be moved into the second cell.

8.How do I change the color of a table border?
Inside the table tag, use the border color tag to enter the "# new color hex code" and the color will change to what you want it to be.

9.Can you use an image as background in a table? If so, what attribute do I use and where does it go; in the table, tr or td tag?
Yes. Use the background="image.id" tag inside the table tag.

10.What does the NOWRAP tag do?
When the NOWRAP tag is used in a table cell, it forces the display of all the text on to a single line.
