Research Shows Thymic Protein A Increases White Blood Cells and Important T-Cells

A recent study*, "Improved Immune Activation Markers in CFIDS Patients Treated with Thymic Protein A," involved treating a group of CFIDS patients with thymic protein A. The patients took three packets of thymic protein A daily for 90 days. The study showed an overall significant increase in total white blood cell counts. 70% manifested this increase, despite the fact that only one patient had a below normal count. In fact, levels of the T suppressor cell phenotype showed a mean increase from 25.9 to 36.3. This T-cell, which decreases with CFIDS, is one of the major diagnostic markers. In the patients who had measurable levels of these T-cells, 65% experienced an increase in this key marker.

The study concluded that the use of thymic protein A might have beneficial effects on the course and severity of CFIDS. Until recently, the idea of oral administration of proteins has been excluded, because large polypeptides would be digested and unabsorbed. Because the product [ProBoost Protein Thymic A] is taken sublingually, the degradation of the protein in the stomach is avoided. How it Works

All other existing thymus products are not biologically active, because they contain only fragments of the entire thymic protein necessary to stimulate T-4 cells.
