Talk to Year 9 pupils by Penny Krucker
5 February 2002
On Tuesday, 5th February, Penny Krucker, The International Education Officer, spoke to year 9 pupils about the importance of languages in today's world, their role as global citizens and the opportunities for young people abroad. Given the highly competitive and international nature of business today, it was a dismal picture, which was portrayed of our own linguistic skills and attitudes. However, I am sure that the inspiring talk will have made an impact on our students and brought home to them the value and advantages which the ability to speak foreign languages can bring.
