JOE ADVERTISING THE SINCLAIR SPECTRUM (1982)
This incredibly rare image of Joe is from an advertising campaign for Sinclair Research Limited.
They wanted to boost the home computer's image, and steer it away from simply being the domain of nerds and suchlike.
Joe recieved a lot of critiscism, with the famous lyric "Turning Rebellion into Money", often mentioned, and the advert was eventually scrapped, after a great deal of debate and furore.
The final straw came for Sinclair came when Joe admitted in an interview he didnt even know what a computer was!
