The importance of this theory is that it established a new understanding and reconstructed the way we recognize human intelligence, so that will change the basis on which our educational and instructional systems and solutions have been  built and developed. 

The Multiple Intelligences (MI) theory recognizes so many human abilities, activities, behavior, character attributes as a representation of a type or another of "intelligence". 

Basically built on the new findings from brain and neurosciences, MI theory has been inspired by the new interesting research on memory, and dendrites physiology and their cognitive aspects.. 
 

It widely spreads the concept of the intelligence phenomenon to cover many human endowment being a skill, hobby, or character attribute. The main idea is that we got new literacy that fosters problem solving and production. To name some of the ever-growing list of these human mental/behavior abilities that are recognized as intelligence, here are the main groups of intelligences:
