MATERIAL:PICTURES,OHT,BOARD,FLASH CARDS
GOAL:TEACHING THE PATTERN " TO BE USED TO"
OBJECTIVE:BY THE END OF THE LESSON THE STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO USE THE PATTERN TO  BE USED TO IN THEIR DAILY LIVES WHENEVER NECESSARY.

PROCEDURE:
1)PRE TEACHING:10 minutes
I will not start the lesson as "Today our subject is "  to be used to".First I will ask them how they feel,then, I will start talking about a daily TV programme in which I can use the pattren " to be used to".I will say:Did you have chance to watch Dadı?(I will choose it deliberitely because teenagers love it).Yesterday my sterday my brother came from Anamur.I was very happy to see him after months.But after the dinner he lied and started watching Herkül.I told him "I am used to watching Dadı every week!"(I will emphasis 'every')But it didn't work.
I will write on the board 'I am used to watching Dadı every week!
Then I will ask them if they are used to watching a daily TV programme.Then,I will expand the examples such as:
Is there anything that you are used to doing?
I will write what they say on the board such as:
*eating chocalate
*getting up at 7.30
*playing football
*drinking coke
Then I will use phrases in sentences:
-Volkan is used to eating chocalate
-Meryem is used to getting up at 7.30
-Hasan is used to playing football
-Tuba is used to drinking coke

WHILE TEACHING:
ACTIVITY: 1-7 minutes
In this activity I will use Over Head
Transparency.There are pictures on these transparencies.First I will ask them what sort of people they are,their age,and also I will ask about the environment.

*On the first transparency there is a boy listening to music and ther is a girl driving a car.
*On the second transparency there is a painter and a boy washing his hands.
*On the last transparency there is a boy who is sleeping and there is a girl playing tennis.
Then I will want them to tell me what the people on these transparencies are used to do doing.

ACTIVITY: 2-8 minutes
For the second activity I will write some exercises on the board.In these exercises the students will be
wanted to put the words in the correct order so that they will focus on the syntactic order.Such as:
1.I/getting up/at 7.30/am/used to/every morning.
2.We/every day/used to/tidying/are/our house.
3.He/smoking/isn't/used to.
4.They/studying/in the library/are/every time.
5.The cat/used to/near the stove/sleeping/is.
6.My mother/cooking/is/used to/before going to
work/every day.
7.Her brother/isn't/used to/living alone.

ACTIVITY: 3-7 minutes
For the second activity I will use the pictures on which a man is just getting up at 7.30,a teacher is
teaching in the class,and a man who is going to work. Again in this activity I will ask the students about
the people in the picturesas 'How many people do you see in the pictures?'.'What can you see around?'.'What
do they wear?'
This time I will ask the students some tricky questions like:

T:The boy is used to getting up at 11.am isn't he?
SS:No,he is used to getting up at 7.30!
T:Is the man used to going to work by tain?
SS:No,he is used to going to work on foot!
T:The boy is used to watching TV isn't he?
SS:No,the boy is used to doing his homework.

ACTIVITY: 4-8 minutes minutes
I prepared flashcards for the third activity.On these flashcards :
1-There is a boy who is studying
2-There is a woman who is speaking on the phone
3-There are couples dancing
4-There is a boy studying computer
5-There is a man watching TV
6-There is a man mending a car
7-There is a boy playing football
8-There is a woman baking cake
I will deliver these flashcards to groups and I will want them to tell me what they see in the pictures and what are those people used to doing.

POST TEACHING:5 Minutes
This time I will ask the stuents drow some sort of pictures.They may drow their friends'or their families pictures.Through the pictures they will write what those people used to doing.
