      PRE-TEACHING (5 Min.)

Greeting and warming- up.I will start the lesson telling my own experince by using comparatives in order to draw the students' attention to the subject. While I am telling,I will act the comparison adjectives to make it clear for them.
Do you want to know what happened this morning. It was a very terrible experince for me.I was carrying a lot of books in my hand and the bus was more crowded than the other buses,so I could not find anywhere to hold. There was a man.He was taller than me,so he could hold the handle, but what a pity;he was also fatter than me.Suddenly, the bus driver began to drive the bus faster and faster and he suddenly stopped the bus.Can you guess what happened then? The taller and the fatter man fell down upon me and now I have got a pain on my shoulder. So,I have difficulty in using my hand, but do not worry I can still use the board!

     ACTIVITY 1(10 Min.)

I will show the students some pictures then, I will ask them questions related to the pictures. When necessary, I will use body language.

1- Where are the two boys in picture 1?
2- What are they doing?
3- Is the red car bigger than the yellow car?
4- What are the boys doing in picture 2?
5- Are their clothes clean?
6- Are their bicycles cleaner than the others' bicycles?
7- Are their clothes cleaner than the others' clothes?
8- Why are the two boys dirty?
9- What are the boys doing in picture 3?
10- Why are the big boys laughing?
11- Are the big boys' shirts cleaner than the two boys' shirts in picture 4? Why/ why not?

( In the first picture, there are two boys who are cleaning their bicycles. Their clothes become dirty but their bicycles become clean. In the second picture, their friends come. Their clothes are cleaner than the two boys' but their bicycles are dirtier than the two boys'. In the third picture, they ride bicycles and near the two boys a car splashes water in mud and their bicycles become dirty and their clothes become dirtier. Their friends laugh at them. In the fourth picture, a lorry passes near the other boys and their clothes become dirty and their bicycles become dirtier.)

ACTIVITY 2 (10 Mins)

After the fist activity, I will show the same pictures again and this time I will want the students write a short story related with the pictures by using the comparative adjectives they learnt. After they wrote, I will make some of them read their stories.

ACTIVITY 3 (7 Mins)

In order to ?introduce some other comparative adjectives such as; tall-short, long-short I will call a student who is willing to come to the board and drow two stick girls named Merry and Sally- one is tall the other is short. Also s/he will be wanted to drow one's skirt is long, the other's skirt is short.  I will ask him/her which one is short/tall and which one is long and short. Then, I will make comparative sentences between these two stick girls and wr?te them onto the board by underlining the comparative adjective parts.
e.g: Sally is shorther than Merry.
Merry's skirt is longer than Sally's skirt.

ACTIVITY 4 (8 Mins)

I will show some other pictures by which the students can make sentences by using all the comparative adjectives they learnt. These pictures include the intersting people whose organs or items and clothes are strange.
e.g: In one of the picture there is a man called John who is tall and has a very very long nose. I will want students compare John with the people in other pictures. Also I will ask them to compare the people between each other.
-John's nose is longer than Emily's nose.
The students will write the sentences that  they made onto the board.

POST-TEACHING ACTIVITY ( 5 Mins)

I will give the students some small papers on which the adjectives; small, dirty, short, thin and old are written. Firstly, I will write their opposite comparative forms on the board; bigger, cleaner, longer, taller, fatter and younger and then I will make one student who is willing to select a paper and then come to the board to write its correct comparative form across the opposite comparative form. Then, the students will study one by one until the papers finish.
e.g: bigger  smaller
