Review
My story starts even before the show started. It was suppose to be at Sokol Auditorium, but the concert sold out in three days, so they decided to move it to the Music Hall later on. Thank goodness my ticket was still good, though it was cheaper for the Music Hall. Gah. I paid more for my ticket. Oh well. It was all general admission.

Well, I got to the theater early. Least I thought it was pretty early. I arrived at 6:30 and the show wasn’t suppose to start til 7:30. Heck, I didn’t think they were letting anyone in yet for setting! They already were by that point, but I did find a seat in the front row…off to the very left of the seating. I was stupidly behind some speakers. I was wondering why these stupid things were even there when they weren’t used. *grumbles*

About 7:30, the opening act came on. His name was Chris Mills or something. I can’t really remember. He was okay, nothing that I loved or hated. He was just there and I wanted to see Ben! He just played guitar by himself and his thing ended about 7:50, which brought on the 40 minute waiting game again for Ben!

Ben finally came out with his two other band members. Yay! Time for some rockin’ the suburbs! :P

I can’t even remember the order of the songs. I remember some of the songs that were played. I remember hearing...

Zak and Sara
Best Imitation of Myself
Brick
Narcolepsy
Army
Philosophy
The Luckiest
Rock This Bitch
Bitches Ain’t Shit
Landed
Bastard
Jesusland
Gracie
Trusted

Those are the ones that I can remember.

I spent most of my concert with one knee bending back on my seat and bending over to see. Evil people next to me who were way too tall that were next to me.

Though, because of my awkward seating arrangement, people offered to take pictures for me with my camera, so thus a game of pass-the-camera came with it. I got some good pictures thanks to other people using my camera.

It was kinda funny that though the Music Hall is a seated venue…no one sat! Everyone stood!

I also remember the other two band members were there for the beginning, then disappeared for about 4 or 5 songs in the middle and came back later. Huh! It was nice to have just Ben on quite a few of those. :D

Also, during the very beginning of the show, some fans threw a Nebraska shirt up onto the stage and yelled at Ben to grab it during the middle of a song. He stopped and grabbed it, liked it, and hung it on the piano. But then he hung it near the drums later on…and then it flew back into the audience at the end of the show. Goodbye, shirt!

I do remember that hearing Rockin’ the Suburbs with just Ben and the two other band members sounds so different than the album version, of course, but still so cool!

Ben also made up a song about Omaha, and various other things audience members had shouted out when they wanted him to sing, "Rock This Bitch."

At one point during the show, he asked us about the Ranch Bowl. Audience members yelled out that it was gone. Ben heard that it was there and that it wasn’t, so we verified it for him. One also yelled out that a WalMart is being built there. Then Ben rambled on how he’s been in a WalMart twice…and it was for Bic Pens both times. And they weren’t even for him. Lol. That was funny.

At one point too, we were his trumpets, which was awesome. At the end, he got off the piano, and acted as our conductor for it. He got on top of the piano for it and everything. That was awesome! I love Ben!

The show was over after Brick, but I loved it definitely. There were quite a few songs I didn’t know. Bad me or else I didn’t have ‘em on cd yet or I don’t listen to that cd often enough. Oops. Anyway, no meeting Ben or anything. That was a bit disappointing, but I loved the show, of course. I have a new tour shirt to prove it. ;)
