Review
My more coherent review.
We left the house about 7 and got there about 7:15. You know those uneventful drives that don't mean much. ;) They started letting us in right when I got there. The usher had a fun time figuring out what was my seat. She was convinced I was third row, when um my ticket said row two. We got that figured out. The Orchestra Pit was a bunch of seats they just set out for it.
They changed the Music Hall since I was last there to see Al in 2000. When I saw Al, there were 3 sections: right, center, left. Now there are four sections and an orchestra pit. The place was pretty much packed too. I was off to the very very left. The seats were insanely close. Front row could set their elbows up on the stage. :O Unfortunately, I had the speaker right next to me. Ouch.
The people next to me were very nice. We ended up talking about Al (*whistles innocently*) and how I've met him. I was use to sitting up nice and close for a performance.
My big complaint was that I couldn't have access to the water fountain because someone had set up an alcoholic stand right in front of it. Grrrr.
Finally, it was time for the show to start! Hurrah! I had seen Brad wandering around backstage earlier. This was the first time they ever in Omaha. :)
I can't remember half the games they did, but it was so great. A lot of them came straight from Whose Line, others were completely new, and one dangerous! :O
One game was where Brad had to interview someone about their odd occupation. Turns out we have a disaster manager here. ^_^ Colin was the "sign language" interpreter, who, of course, didn't know anything for it. It was so funny to see his movements! There ended up being something about a witch cow who was riding a broomstick in a twister.
There was the game like on Whose Line where they had to switch the last line they just said, but this time whenever one of the audience people up on stage honked a horn.
Naturally, there were also sound effects and they were taxidermist. They were prompting the people and went, "When I open a squeaky door, it sounds like, "Squeeeeaaakkkk?" I think Brad went, "I'm glad the bar was set so high." The people here heavily participated in all of the games.
They found two men in the audience were the same Hawaiian shirt. Lol. One got up on stage and Brad was looking for a young female. Me! I waved my arms and he picked me. Hehe! I tried to shove my camera in my pocket and Brad commented, "You can just leave it. I'm sure no one will steal it." I reached over and left it on my seat. I ran up the stairs, trying to shove my sunglasses in my pocket.
"You're armed today," Brad said.
I just held up my sunglasses, going, "Sunglasses."
"Oh. Sunglasses."
I put them back in my pocket and it was the dubbing game. Uh-oh! I couldn't believe I was on stage with them! This was more complex than the game on Whose Line. Brad was supplying my lines and Colin's lines. Colin was supplying Brad's lines and the other guy's lines.
I had my mouth the words and so did the other guy. At one point, Brad was saying for me how much I loved Colin and I grabbed him by the shoulders. :O I'm bold! I didn't who I was "talking" to half the time. It got so confusing. For some reason we got on a "boat" and I suddenly wanted to "drive" it. Oh yeah, I'm a good boat driver. ^_^;; That game went over too quick. I actually wasn't nervous at all. I shook Colin and Brad's hands again, but grabbed Brad and hugged him as I walked off. Hehe. I'm innocent.
The other guy and I walked off stage and he commented to me that he didn't know who to talk to either.
The people who sat next to me felt so bad that they didn¡¦t take a picture of me being onstage. They didn't even realize it until I got offstage.
Later, they had to do the "Whose Line" game where the crowd supplied lines on pieces of paper. They were doing a Shakespearean war and they needed something odd to fight about. I yelled out, "Twinkies!" and they used it! LOL! I was doing my Al references for the night.
There was one game where they had to "clean" their house. But they had set up 100 mousetraps on the stage. Ouch! As setting them up, they kept setting them off while Brad was explaining the game. "Okay, we'll have 94 mousetraps."
Colin commented why he never got to introduce the game instead, since he kept setting them off along with the two stage hands. Brad went, "Oh, just keep going, nimble fingers." They set off a good 10 or 15 beforehand. Then, they took off their shoes and socks and put on blindfolds, walking around on stage with mousetraps on the floor. They did set off a lot too! You saw those things fly! Colin got one stuck on his toe and Brad got one stuck to his hand. Ouch!
Brad also rapped to an audience member who was a radiologist. "So, you can see right through me, huh? What did I have for lunch?"
Jack: Too much.
Ooooohhhh! Brad rapped to him and gave the microphone to Jack at times who said, "M.C. Jack". It was funny. There is nothing quite like trying to see Colin "scratch a record".
They also had a game where they grabbed a married couple from the audience. Colin and Brad pretended to be them and if they were on mark to how it was in real life, ring the bell, if it wasn't, honk the horn. They ended up going into sex life and as the game was over, Brad went, "I hope we didn't embarrass them too much."
Another hard game was where Colin left to make sure he didn't hear anything. We had to make up a crime Colin had committed and Colin had to guess it when he came back. He was wearing a sombrero and something else, lost his rubber ducky, burnt rice crispy, in Wahoo, at Bob's Accordion (my suggestion) and Wakeboard boutique with a white poodle. Colin had such a hard time, though thinking at one point he killed Bernie from Sesame Street! LOL!
The show was sadly over at 10:15 or so and Brad said we could go backstage if we wanted to meet them, but the cheer and applause was so loud that no one could hear them! :O
I had left, talking to my mom on the phone, and waiting outside when I hear the married couple from earlier saying they went backstage. I talked to them and you could go right up to them. I ran back there, got their autographs quick, and got a picture. Brad had commented that I caught up on the dubbing game really quick. Yay. I commented that I felt so unoriginal using my ticket to get their signatures.
I couldn't talk to them long because dad was coming. :( Oh well. I got to meet them and interact!
I had such a great time, laughing so hard, and getting up on stage, meeting Colin and Brad!
