Review
First off, great show! I love seeing a full setlist!

My dad and I left home about 12:30 and we really didn't that lost on the way there which is amazing. It was actually pretty easy to get back there again. :) We only got lost a bit in Kansas City, Kansas and that's about it. We got to the theater about 4:15 or so, and since we arrived so early, we didn't have to pay the $5.00 parking fee. The security people started that up about a half hour after we got there.

I wore my Dog Eat Dog outfit to the show, so if you were at that show and saw a girl with a big, white floppy suit on, that would be me. Even though, I received more confused looks than anything on my suit.

We waited by the gate for a bit, talking to some others who had decided to come early. We talked to a guy named James quite a bit, he's been a hardcore fan for quite a while. :) I told him that he should join WOWAY and STUPID. It was nice talking to him.

They let us into the venue about 6 pm, but they wouldn't allow us to sit in our seats yet. They have awful water from the water fountains there. Ugh. While not being allowed to sit in our seats yet, I bought more merchandise from the booth. I bought the Couch Potato t-shirt, the blue Poodle Hat baseball cap, and the black winter hat thing. Sorry, I don't know what it's called.

I'm not sure what time they actually allowed us into our seats. My dad and I were closer than what I expected, but very far off to the side.

I talked to James for a bit more and while I was fiddling with my camera, one of the security people told me the venue only allowed disposable cameras. Even though, on the website it says no cameras at all. She also told me that she didn't partically care and didn't mind if I took pictures, just be careful with the other guards. Then again, no other guard bothered me during the show or at any point about anything.

About 7:45 or so, the opening comedian came on. He was okay, but had a lot of Kansas City jokes, so as an out-of-towner I didn't get them. I did like his demonic Furby joke.

At the end of the opening comedian, I noticed a lot of front row seats were open right in front of Al. I tried to get my dad to come up with Katie, Heath, and I to sneak up there, but he was being stubborn and didn't want to move. I spent a good five to ten minutes trying to get him to come with us. *sigh* Oh well. I really didn't want to leave him behind, but he insisted that I should go up there.

Now, I normally don't sneak up closer than what I have tickets for, but if you see front row seats left open right in front of Al, take 'em! ;) Being in the front row is wonderful! I'm spoiled now because of front row. It's just so wonderful.

The concert was wonderful and I loved seeing the songs I didn't get to see at Chicago. Al sang to us an awful lot during the show! I can't even remember all of the he sang to us. I know Party at the Leper Colony, Your Horoscope for Today, Wanna B Ur Lovr, and so many more. Katie says I'm an Al magnet in my Dog Eat Dog suit. Heh. Did I mention I love first row? Al will just sing to you a lot! *happy sigh*

I remember during one of the first few songs, Al accidently knocked over his cup of water. Sadly, the cup disappeared after the show very quickly. Drat.

I loved it when Al introduced the band to each other. "Jim, this is Bermuda. Steve, this is..." and he left it blank. Poor Rubén. I also can't remember for the life of me what Al said Rubén's name was at the end of Fat. Argh! Darn this concert haze.

I'm debating over which silver suit I like better. I do love Al's old one, but I like his new one too. It's so shiny and sparkly.

Mark me as one happy person during One More Minute. Al went down the side of where I originally sat, and when I looked that way, I noticed my dad had stood up and clapped for Al. Go, Dad! Al went up that part and gave his scarves away and the boxers too, but he came back down our aisle. My full purpose in my mind was to touch that coat, but Al grabbed my hand and held it for a couple of seconds. :O Thank you, Al! I don't even remember when or what side of the stage he got back on, I was too focused on that Al grabbed my hand. *even happier sigh*

Did I also mention I just love seeing Wanna B Ur Lovr live? Oh yeah. :D

During about the middle of the medley, it started to rain. I didn't even notice until I heard people around me gasp and people turning their head around. This is another advantage of front row: When you're at an outdoor venue, the stage will most likely protect you from the rain too. Haha! We stayed nice and dry, while everyone else got wet, including my dad. It didn't rain too hard though, just a light rain that went on and off through the rest of the show.

We got hit by Nirvana water this time! Yes! The people to the left of us got the cup though and actually remembered to keep it. Drat. Hopefully on the next leg of the tour.

The cheerleaders weren't that bad either, not as good as the ones at the Chicago shows, but they were pretty good. Even though, I barely pay attention to the cheerleaders during the shows. I focus more on Al and the band.

We also kept waving to Steve during the show. Steve would smile and wave back at us, also giving us funny poses and just being silly. Steve is so much fun. During Amish Paradise, he shrugged and parted his beard in half. The expressions on his face are priceless! Thank you, Steve!

We didn't have to wait too long for the encore either. Probably just about the time of a costume change.

I know during The Saga Begins, while Al was trying to get off of his stool, his robe caught on the stool, but no biggy really. I think he only held the one note during the song for about ten seconds. Also, Steve decided to go Druish during the song again. He did it at Chicago too. It just cracks me up everytime he does that now.

I just love those new parts of the Yoda Chant. I went along better this time on the new parts. We waved bye to Al, and he waved back to us with a huge smile on his face. The show was then sadly over.

Sadly, Al didn't really come out for a meet and greet. It was only for people with backstage passes and we asked about where the tour buses were, but it seems the buses are in the back, connected to the venue kind of, and so that idea was shot. Oh well. Maybe I'll get to meet Al on the next leg of the tour.

We all sadly walked away, but Heath went ahead to grab Katie's car to help jump-start someone else's car who was obviously having car troubles. So we all went back to our car and we drove Katie over to where Heath was and drove off. :( We had no problems getting home. My dad and I both had sore throats and our hearing was off. Hehe.

My dad absolutely loved the show, especially when he got to see his favorite song, Beverly Hillbillies/Money for Nothing, performed live in the medley. Fat is one of his favorite songs performed live too. :) My dad definitely understands why I tour-chase Al and wants to see him again! Though, my dad and I were both tired after the adrenline wore off and it was hard for my dad to drive back during the night. There were times that we both got confused because of lights near rest areas and everything.

We got home about 2:30am, even though my mom waited up for us. We told her not to do that. I went to bed at 3:00 am, but didn't fall asleep actually until about 4 am, which is odd since I was dead tired.

In other words, Al did another polkariffic show and it always amazes me about how much energy that man has.
