Sd.Kfz.250 (neu) armed with 50mm PaK 38 L/60 gun was designated as Sfl 5cm PaK38 L/60. Number of such vehicles was converted (e.g. lengthened chassis) from regular Sd.Kfz.250 and used as self-propelled anti-tank guns. Single example is currently on display at Kalemegdan Fortress in Belgrad, Serbia.

A number of these vehicles were captured by Yugoslav partisans in October 1944 during operations of liberation of Belgrade and in 1945. They were immediately introduced in People's Liberation Army armored units along with all other captured AFVs. Some of them remained in service untill late 60s when they were declared obsolete and withdrawn from service. Large number of 50mm and 75mm PaK guns were re-rifled, thoroughly overhauled, supplied with new cradles, attached to towed mounts and puit into storage. A score o those guns were used in the opening stages of Yugoslav wars in 1991 along with other vintage weapons such as Sowiet T34/85 tanks.
