leichte Schützenpanzerwagen (2cm) Sd.Kfz.250/9

Sd.Kfz.250/9 was ordered in March of 1942 and first three prototypes were tested on the Eastern Front later in the year. The vehicle was to replace wheeled vehicles and after successful tests, production of Sd.Kfz.222 was stopped and Sd.Kfz.250/9 became its replacement. Production began in May of 1943. Early models used the complete turret of the Sd.Kfz.222, while later models used Haengelafette 38 mount.
