| born August 28, 1965 Eilleen Regina Edwards Windsor Ontario Canada birth parents Sharron and Clarence Edwards Jerry Twain adopted her after married Sharron brothers and sisters Jill Carrie Mark Darrel Eilleen started playing guitar at 8 years old started writing songs at 10 years old her parents would take her to the local bars and she would sing Shania would help her family in the Canadian bush reforstion buisness Jerry and Sharron were killed in a auto accident November 1st 1987 Shania then raised her siblings and got a job at the Deerherst resort in Huntsville Ontario Canada Shania got a deal from Mercury records after Richard Frank a Nashville attorney saw her at Deerhurst on December 28th 1993 Shania married Robert John Mutt Lange also her recored producer in April 1993 Shania's self titled debut cd was released |
