St. Xavier Invitational Main Cross Country

Home-Results-The Course-Top Times-History

The St. Xavier Cross Country Invitational began as a "mini-invitational" in the early 1980's, a mid-week event that included teams such as Aiken, Finneytown, and Mt. Healthy.

In 1988, we moved to an open Saturday, the 5th week of the season. Since that time, our meet has grown to become one of the top invitationals in this part of the state, thanks primarily to the dedication and hard work of our parents and athletic boosters.

In the years since those first few seasons, we've witnessed some memorable meets and impressive performances. We've seen 4-inch-deep mud on a couple occasions; we've hosted the four top boys' teams in the state (in 1996); and we've enjoyed the talents of runners such as state champions Joe Barnes, Brian Godsey, Fitz Read, and Chelsea Homan.
