Fucked up dreams (no I wasn't high)

Hey everyone! Sorry for not updating, but it's been pretty busy around here (for once). And good-busy, not bad-busy. :)
So yes, Chuck Palahniuk signed my books. And I talked to him like a complete idiot. And I love him. :D And he wrote the most disgusting story in the ENTIRE world and I almost threw up during his book-reading, and I'm going to eventually have to read it to ALL OF YOU!!! :D (it's a short story)
So I haven't put up any good or thoughtful entries lately because I'm getting my intellectual kicks elsewhere these days. ;) I mean this guy online who likes to talk about philosophy and crap, and now I check his lj and post all the time. But there's all my deep-thinking down the tube, so all you get is my dumb side here. ;) Somehow, I don't think most of you will mind, but I'll try to think of something smart to write one of these days anyway. Maybe I'll post my psycho-analysis of Andrew and myself... someday... :)
So in other news, everything in my life seems to have been put on hold for the moment, as there's too much I've planned to do. I haven't actually started reading for my midterm yet, but that's okay because we're going up north tomorrow, and I figure I'll have nothing better to do. My re-doing my room has been put on hold because it's too damn much work and I'm lazy right now and I don't even know if I'll like it when it's done. :P So that's that.
Also, I'm having REALLY fucked up dreams lately. Okay, last night I had a dream about the cast of "Friends". Chandler was dating this weird girl in a cult, and he accidently killed her. The next scene takes place in Monika and Rachel's room, and Chandler's legs have been cut off at the knee and he's pinned to the floor by the trident Monika stabbed through his legs. And she's torturing him for killing the cult-girl, but the conversation is still light and funny, as if it were just a normal episode. And I think I'm supposed to be Rachel, because I was holding down one of Chandler's arms, and Phoebe was holding down the other. How fucked up is that??
But my South Park dream was worse. I had this dream where I was in my living rooms getting high with Katie and Kenny from South Park. But then Kenny pulled out a gun and accidentally shot himself, and Katie and I were scared we'd get blamed, so we decided to hide the evidence. Somehow, we thought that putting Kenny in the microwave and churning him up would make him easier to dispose of, and actually it did make him look like really gross, weird food. Then I went to the video store, and the police were looking for whoever killed Kenny. So in the end, we flushed his parts down the toilet, but I think my mom had eaten some of him, because there wasn't much left.
Oh, the best part of the dream was after Kenny died, and my sister yelled: "OH MY GOD!! HE KILLED KENNY!" Ahhhh good times.
YAY, and Andrew and I are going to see "Batman Begins" tonight!! I LOVE BATMAN. Almost like Chuck Palahnuik, except not nearly as much. :)

The decorating challenge!

I just got home from Home Depot, where I was paint-sampling. :) I know I said I had it all planned out that I was going to have a turquoise, "1950's kitchen-inspired" bedroom, but there has been a change of plans...
To those of you who have never picked out colours and re-done your own rooms: first of all, you are really missing out. And secondly, step one is ALWAYS to pick your new bed sheets/blanket BEFORE choosing a paint colour, because they make paints in ALL colours, but bed layouts are pretty crappy and sparse and they limit your choices for actual room colour (unless you don't care that your room colour clashes horribly with the bed). Once you have your bed stuff, choose a room colour taken from the bed set, or one that complements it.
Okay, so I was at Ikea yesterday when I found a bed cover that I LOVE, and it came in two colours -blue/green and pink/red. The blue bed cover would work with a blue/turquoise-ish room, though not the colour I had in mine. The pink one would require the room to be a different colour entirely than what I had wanted. BUT, the blue bed spread was kind of dark and I didn't like it so much, and the pink one was all bright and exciting, so I was pretty torn.
But, at last, I think I've decided. My mom pointed out something that REALLY clears things up. Okay, so I'm nineteen now, and I'll probably get married in like six years or so, so this will be my last room-makeover for myself, as a girl living in her own room, alone. And I'm pretty sure there is no way the man I marry will want to have a pink room (and I wouldn't want him to). SO, if I ever want a pink-red room, this is my last chance. So I'm going for it, PINK-RED AHOY (forgive me, I've been reading "Treasure Island")!!

By the time I'm done this entry, it will be tomorrow...

Gah I'm so tired! But it's okay, because I'm tired from RUNNING, which I've finally started up again. OH, and I've now done it FOUR TIME, which means I have officially started (for those of you who remember, I said that after three times I'd have officially started). And I'm tired from getting up early to work at Dr. B's. One of the reps brought us lunch today, so that was nice. :) PS. If any of you ever want to cheer me up, bring me good food (especially at work)!
So my Mom made me garden today, because I said we should plant a vine-plant so that it would grow up the tree-house and make things pretty. So she made me get everything set up and my back hurts. ...And I got distracted while I was digging by this weird looking bug... Some bugs are just CRAZY.
MAN, my backyard looks so nice because ALL my mom does is garden these days. I'd love to have a backyard party of some sort, but I don't know why or with who or doing what. I know for SURE I must have a small one for like immediate friends. OH, let's have a blender party where everyone brings a blender and drink stuff and we drink and sit outside and I'll make my backyard all pretty for everyone. I should do that...
In other news, I should really do my politics readings, but they are SO BORING that I have a hard time willing myself to do them. Like, I'll start, but then I'll start thinking about something else while my eyes keep moving. Guys, you're all in harder courses than me, so maybe you can help: how do I force myself to read really boring and long stuff?? Thoughts??
Alright, I should go to bed because I have a big day of buying new sheets/blanket for my room, and visiting Scotiabank to find out WHAT ON EARTH is going on with my account, and then IKEA is having a SALE!! Ahhhhh, to sleep, and visions of art deco lamps and other random prettiness will dance in my head... :D

Wow, I seriously need an update...

Sooo... Sorry for not updating. I'd like to say that it's because my life has been so crazy, but actually only the weekend has been crazy. Anyway, let me tell you about that...
Friday night: Beer and wings with friends. I'm so glad so many people made it out! Way to go, on my first real time actually planning a get-together and having it work. Yeah, so we went out to "All-Star Wings" and there was a huge waiting time, so we sat at the bar for a bit (and talked VERY LOUDLY -I wonder if that got us a table faster or slower??). And we ordered a pitcher of beer, except I ended up drinking most of it because Kathy didn't have I.D. and Andrew had to drive... But I didn't mind because I'm a trooper and I took one for the team. ;) Ahahah... Anyway, good to see everyone, especially SON who I haven't seen since FEBRUARY!
Oh, and when I went to Son's house to pick her up, she and Kath hadn't gotten back from the movies yet, so Sonali's mom invited me in to watch "Wheel of Fortune" and gave me a chocolate popcycle thingy... Awww, Son, I love your mom. ;)
Saturday: Carly and I got up early to stand in line for Coldplay tickets, but we didn't end up getting any. :( So we went to eat strawberries for breakfast instead, to ease the pain. Then, I was suppose to go to Unionville to meet Jamie's new girlfriend Mel, but Andrew and I didn't have a car and we were too late already to meet them... So we went to watch the third "Star Wars" movie instead, which was actually MUCH better than the first two. :)
Sunday: After twelve hour sleep (hey, I was making up for the five hours I got the night before!), my parents woke me up to go to the Beaches area for breakfast and walking around/shopping. Actually, it was more like Katie who woke me up, and bitched at me for taking a long time to get ready and blah blah blah (HONESTLY, I am the only person in this house who realizes the importance of sunscreen). But yeah, breakfast was good, I bought a white skirt, and the beaches have SUCH PRETTY HOUSES. I seriously LOVE the neighbourhood... Most of all, I love all the huge trees that canopy over the houses.
Yeah, so Katie and I are huge dorks and we've decided that we must live next door to each other when we're married, so we can take out the fence between our backyards and share a pool (and a treehouse for the kids). Honestly, we MUST do this. Seriously, we were the biggest dorks ever and planned out our entire lives... Including timing my second and her first pregnancy for the same time... And letting her rent out my basement before she gets married... Maybe I should talk to Andrew about this...?
Oh, and if any of you have not read "The Boogeyman" by Stephen King, do yourself a favour and do NOT read it because it is the scariest story ever written. Part of the reason I got 5 hour sleep on Friday night is because Andrew bought the book and I read it again. Let's see if I EVER go into my closet again. Thanks a lot, Andrew. :P
OH, and in other news, GUESS who gets half their tuition paid for next year?? ME!! Thanks to the Canada Access Grant, available to students from low-income families who meet the requirements for OSAP. Even if the Liberal government is hidiously corrupt, and blatantly trying to buy votes, at least part of their money is going to ME. :P
Oh SPEAKING of that, I wonder if any of you have any thoughts on the new Adoption registration thingy. Like, basically the Liberals want to pass this thing that will make it easier for adoptive parents and kids to find each other, by keeping everyone's name and info on some kind of registration. An okay idea, except that you CANNOT request NOT to be put on that registration. Honestly, I seriously think that should be an option, otherwise you're just impeding on people's privacy. Or better yet, make putting your name on the list optional. I think people have a right to their privacy.
    Anyway, that's what I've been doing/thinking lately.

Worst day ever...

Actually, it wasn't really the worst day ever, it's just that things worked out badly and I'm SOOOO tired... But if anyone else out there is having a bad day, you have to download "Silly Love Songs" by Paul McCartney and the Wings... It's kind of a gay song, but it makes me SO happy... "Some people wanna fill the wooooorld with silly love songs... But what's wrong with thaaaaat... I'd like to knoooooow... 'Cause here I go.... AGAAAAAAAAIIIIIINNNN...." So gay. SO HAPPY. And it's like DISCO.
Anyway, so sorry for not updating... I've been working at Dr. B's all week... I was supposed to be off at 5 o'clock this evening, but I had to fill in for Monika because she was in a car crash. Not a major one, just a fender-bender. And she called to tell me she'd be late, and I told her don't worry and I'd be there until she got there. BUT SHE NEVER CAME!! Stupid Monika... I was SO tired and SOOO starving, but I had to stay until seven. >:P
And then my mom said not to eat because there was pizza at home, but when I got home there were only TWO SLICES!! TWO SLICES IS NOT A MEAL (especially when you haven't eaten in eight hours). What a CRAPPY day.
Anyway, now I'm really tired, and when I'm this tired and lazy I get really weird cravings. Usually various forms of TV. Usually it's cartoons, sometimes it's specific sitcoms, but today, oddly enough, it is anime. I know, I must be REALLY tired. :P I hope I have some though, because my mind is really craving it. Just stupid anime though. I don't want NOTHIN' that requires thinking.
Okay, so I'm gonna go do that, and I might update tomorrow, but if not then you won't hear from me until Monday or Tuesday, because I'm going up north for MAY 2-4!!! YAYYYY!! HAPPY MAY 2-4 EVERYONE!!

FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH...

I never really thought of Friday the thirteenth as a necessarily bad luck day... But then again, I only believe in good luck. :) Actually, I've heard that Thursday the twelfth is the day you have to watch out for (my dad's dad died on one of those). So the worst is behind us anyway. :)
Oh, and HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY TO CLAUD, who turned NINETEEN yesterday!! :D BAR HOPPING TONIGHT!! HOORAY!! Wow, this is like the first time I'll be drinking legally with some of these people... How exciting. :)
Damn, that reminds me... I have a lot of things I need to do today... Let's make a list because 1) they're fun and 2) they help me think/organize.

Things I must do today:

And things I also must do, but maybe not today:     Anyway, so I'm all set for a super busy day (by Shayla standards). I think I'll start off by eating breakfast and watching TV. That always gets things rolling. :)
