Getting the Haircut you Want
Have you ever gone to get your haircut with a very cute cut in mind, and end up walking out with the ugliest cut you ever saw? Well this article might help you get that cute cut that YOU want.
First, take advantage of the free consultation before the cut. Ask as many questions as you can.Tell them exactly what you want. Even better than telling them what you want, is showing them. Look through magazines or books to see if you can find a haircut you like. From experience, I think this helps you to get the haircut you want, rather than just sayin something like I want it cut like this or that. You can also take the picture, but kind of customize the cut. Tell the stylist the shape you want, how much maintence your willing to put into your hair, the color(if it applies to you), how much time and money your gonna wanna put into your hair, and how you usually wear it(for example, if you always have your hair in a ponytail, layers or short hair is just not gonna work for you.) You will also want to tell the stylist what you DONT want. This gives them a better idea of what to give ya. This also helps to avoid walking out, spending $100 and saying I hate it. Let your stylist know if you have a problem with your hair, like frizz or damage. There are some cuts that arent gonna work for you either. Ask as many questions as you can think of. Make sure that the cut is best for your face and style. For example, some people wouldnt look right with short hair, like me, lol. If you happen to have a problem with your cut after its done, tell the stylist. They wont be mad. Sometimes they will give you a free touchup if you dont like it. Just remember, it means getting more of your hair cut. If your going to get your hair colored, pick a color that you like and that is best for your hair. For example, if you have dark brown hair, dont tell your stylist that you want your hair dyed blonde because its not going to look right. If you cant decide what shade of color you want for your hair, your stylist can help you choose. When I went to get my hair dyed, I wanted it dyed a light brown but i didnt know exactly which light brown because there is so many of them. My stylist helped me pick a shade that worked for me. Well hope this helps!
