Convert VCD (.dat) files to MPEG (.mpg)

Always wanted to store those movies on your hard disk but couldn’t because of the enormous space they ate up ? No problem ! Just convert them to a .mpg file and then to a DivX file . It takes very little space compared to a direct .dat file .

To start , fire up VCDGEAR 2.0 (you can download it from the link given below or find it at Cybercorner/Pushpak/Pushpak Pub/Windows/VCD/ ) .

Just select dat -> mpeg, then load the dat(on a VCD you will find the .dat file in the mpegav folder) and hit “start”
