TL bearing Wheel Supplies needed: -TL bearing -end caps -TL nut and bolt -washers -drill or mill -dremel to smooth -nail polish |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
First of all take the Wheel apart. It might be a hard task but it is well worth it. use whatever you have to without breaking it and you should be fine.
Then I took my with the grinding tool and smoothed out the disc that sticks up on the inner half so the washer will fit under the bolt.
Sorry about the bad pic but this is what the inside of mine looks like after drilling it. It might be uneven when using a regular bit so I took a dremel with the duburring and evened it out.
After smoothing everything out I gave the starburst a coat of clear nail polish to preserv them.
This is not the TL bolt, but the washer that I use is there to protect the plastic from getting crushed over time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
To get the end caps to fit I had to dremel some plastic off and I added the strings to make removal of the caps easier. Also a little putty to keep the caps on.
The only problem I have right now is that the thing is not take apart so you will need some pliers to tighten up the thing and if you don't get the string stuck you should be fine. Also it is somthing that you can think up for your self. THis mod is not nearly as easy as the Renegade mod but it is well worth it. Mine has no wobble and its a sleep machine. Good Luck!
