Ginger Snaps

3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp ginger

Cream shortening and sugar. Add the molasses and egg, mixing well


Mix the flour, salt, soda, cinnamon, cloves and ginger together and add to sugar mixture, mixing well


Roll into balls and dip in sugar.


Bake at 375F for 10 to 12 minutes.
