Aunty Helen's Sourdough Scones

1 cup

flour

1/3 cup

Crisco

1 cup

sour dough

1 teaspoon

baking powder

½ teaspoon

soda

pinch

salt

½ cup

raisins

Mix all ingredients well. Pat out into a circle ½ inch thick. Cut into 8 triangles.


Bake at 375F until golden brown.

Sourdough Starter for Scones

1 cup

buttermilk

1 cup

flour

½ cup

sugar

Mix all of above together well. Store in jar on counter for 4 days, stirring well each day.


Refrigerate until ready to use.
