Who am I ?
My name is Subhasis Gupta. I was born in Jamshedpur, Bihar, India. Currently I am located at Mumbai working as a IT professional in a Company.

My childhood days :
I spent my childhood days in Ranchi, Purulia  and Calcutta. My father who was a banker had a transferable job. This gave me the opportunity to move around various places and also mingle with people across various cultures and traits.

My Education:
I did my schooling partly in Purulia and partly in a place called Kalyani, 48 Kms away from Calcutta. In Purulia, I studied at Holy Child School from KG - I to Class IV and later shifted to Saiinik School Purulia where I studied Class V. I really loved my golden days in Purulia. More than anything, I want to go to Purulia once and get to see the good old places where I used to roam and also see my school and meet my teachers. I want to meet Sister Pauline and Chitra Auntie at Holy Child School. At Sainik School I want to meet all the teachers and Irene didi.

From Class - VI to Class - XII, I studied at Kalyani Central Model School. This school located in a small township of Kalyani 48 Kms away from Calcutta. This was a small school with about 800 students ( later it gradually increased to 1500). The school gave me a lot and whatever I am today, its because of this school. This school taught me the basics of life, my competitive spirit and made me ready for a fight in todays competitive world. In this school my most favorite, most respected and revered teacher was Ms. Meera Mukhopadhyay,  Ms. Esha Gupta (fondly called MM Miss and EG Miss) & SD Miss ( Sorry Miss I still don't know your name) .  I still think of this school and think of the golden day in this school.

I did my Graduation and my Masters in Statistics from University of Kalyani (from 1991 to 1996). This University though not well equipped in terms of resources, we had one of the best teachers like Dr. M. K. Gupta, Dr. Goon and Dr. R. N. Panda and a few bunch of jokers ( who are not fit to be called teachers. Sorry no names. This is not a hate site).
