March

Ahhh!!!  Get out here and watch out for those crocus bulbs!

Now is a grate time to start that spring clean up.

Start by removing leaves and twigs that may have fallen over the winter.

Mark any bulb's that are popping up now that you may want to move in the fall.  I use small white plastic plant markers.

Have the greenest grass on the block FIRST!!  This is the time of year to start your lawn care.
As the soil warms up grabgrass germinates. To prevent crabgrass this summer put down a crabgrass preventer. Pick a day that is not to windy and a crabgrass preventer that includes fertilizer this will help get an early start to greening up your lawn.
Lime also adds to soil amendments but, it takes a long time to break down. Spreading it now will help give you a healthy lawn this summer.  I recommend the granular lime instead of pulverized.
Remember your Lilacs also like lime and Iron.  If you forgot to feed them in the fall do it NOW!
