Sugar art aims people that likes artistic realization. With a little practice, you can achieve different projects according to your imagination.


Here is a list of the kind of sugar that is use to achieve a piece.



Equipments:  Equipment's needed to realize an artistic piece.

Pulled sugar:   video   To make roses, ribbons, leaves.

Straw sugar:   video   Filaments of sugar, called angel hair, is used to decorate desserts, but the preservation is short

Blown sugar:  With a sugar pump, you can make animals, fruits, etc.

Rock sugar:  Resemble a stone. Once cooked and hardened, the sugar is cut in pieces and can be used to make a castle, a fireplace, etc.

Stir sugar:  A sugar cooked at low temperature and stirred, it becomes cloudy. The mixture is then poured in a mold. The preservation is very good.

Poured sugar:  A sugar that is poured in a flat mold, and you can give it the desired shape.

Hard sugar:  Are rectangles of hard sugar which are kept in a sealed container. When ready to use, the sugar is softened on a source of heat and can be manipulate as pulled sugar.

Pastillage:  A modeling paste used mainly for decoration.

Nougatine:  Caramel syrup mixed with almonds. The mixture is thinned on a source of heat. It can be shape or cut to give a pattern of your choice. Ex jewelry box, cups etc.
