Manga Basics:
His first appearance is in Book 2 where he spots Sakura after catching the Flwoer Card. He has a huge crush on Yukito on first sight but later finds out in Book 6 that he was just attracted to him. (I know that sounds weird, but it's a spoiler so...) Then, he becomes attracted to Sakura ^^.
Anime Basics:
His first appearance is in episode 8 and becomes Sakura's rival. He falls in love with Yukito in the anime as well as the manga but in the anime he has a fiance named Meiling! He doesn't really love her though but thinks of her like a sister.
Facials:
You can usually see Syaoran with a frown on his face. ^^ He has a hard time expressing emotions and doesn't always smile. He also tends to blush a LOT! ^^
When looking at his face, it's pretty easy to decifer what he's thinking through his face. (except for Sakura, who is sooo dense!!)
Personality:
Syaoran is the type of guy that tries to act tough on the outside but is really soft and kind on the inside. At first, he appears as this mean guy who's trying to steal the cards from Sakura but when he begins to like Yukito, you can really see the soft side of him. ^^ He's so cute!! ehehehe ok. He also seemed kind of...scary...in the beginning and harsh. But that disappeared soon enough. Like a true guy, he has difficulties expressign himself and is extremely shy! So shy that he would literaly run as fast as he could away from the person he liked.
I wanna do a little talk about Syaoran's name. First of all, it means Little Wolf. Because Syaoran is from Hong Kong, his name is Chinese. From my Chinese knowledge, the correct way to write his name is L¨ª Xi¨£o L¨¢n or Li Xian Lan. But this can be kind of hard for non-chinese people to pronounce and so, the sounds and stuff were changed. The correct correct ways to write it in non-chinese would probably be Xiaolan, Shaolan, Syaoran, Shaoran, and Xiaoran. -_- this explains the many many different spellings of his names. The reason for this is because in China, xi is pronounced sh or sy. Also in Japanese, the L is often interchangeable with the R because they are simillar sounds. ^^;; eh just wanted to say that...
