Ch. 2
Sakura and her friends jumped out of the car after Mr. Terada. Sakura, happy to be off the bus, stretched and ran around after sitting in a bus for an hour. In the distance, she could see the Dancing Mountain rise up above her. A column of smoke ringed the sharp cragged peak.
Suddenly, Sakura thought she saw a green flash near the top of the mountain. Shivers went up her body as her hands automatically clutched her clow key. Tomoyo ran up to Sakura as she stared up at the mountain.
"What are you looking at?" Tomoyo asked.
"I...I don't know." replied Sakura. "Do you notice anything up there?"
Tomoyo looked up at the mountain. "I don't see anything," she said in puzzlement.
Sakura began to feel worried and reached in her pocket for the Clow Cards she had brought with her just in case. "What did I just see?" she asked herself. "Was that the work of a Clow Card? Maybe it was the ghost in Naoko's story." She bit her lip in apprehensive fear.
She noticed Syaoran coming up behind her and turned around in just enough time to see that he had been looking at her. When Syaoran saw that Sakura had noticed him, he blushed a deep shade of red and quickly shifted his gaze up at the mountain that Sakura had just contempulated. His expressions hardened and eyebrows furrowed.
"Do you sense that?" he asked. He folded his arms as he converted his gaze onto Sakura. Sakura felt the same sort of uneasiness she felt before and looked down at her feet.
"Yes. I thought I saw a green light...Was it a Clow Card that did it?" Sakura tentatively asked. Fear creeped into her voice. Why was Syaoran-kun acting so worried? Could it be that bad?
"I'm not sure. If it is, I don't know what it is doing out here. Did you bring your cards with you?" he questioned.
"I brought it with me only for an emergency. Wh-Will we need it?" The joy and excitement Sakura felt only moments before were totally gone now.
"I'm afraid we will have to," Syaoran replied. "Whoever or whatever is up there is tremendously strong. I can feel the vibrations all the way down here."
Sakura nodded as she felt a coldness sweep over her and smoother her thoughts. Her heart pumped loudly as her eyes traveled deep into Syaoran's eyes. A sudden breeze chilled her and knocked her back into her senses. She and Syaoran quickly adjusted their gaze back up to the mountain. She and Syaoran contined staring up at the green, grassy peaks, utter silence between them. Sakura was trying to hide her blushes. What is that feeling I am getting again? Syaoran-kun...she thought. In their state, Sakura and Syaoran had not noticed that the other kids playing on the field were leaving. Mr. Terada called at them from far away, breaking the eerie stillness.
"Sakura! Syaoran! Hurry up or you'll be late to your cabin!" he cried. "We're going to play around after we unpack, so come on!"
Sakura turned to leave and caught Syaoran's timid gaze. "L-let me t-take you to your cabin, just in case something weird happesns on the way. I don't have much to unpack anyways." he said.
"Um, ok. Thank you for caring," she replied with a big smile that made Syaoran's face go beet red. The two walked together, both their thoughts still troubled over what they had just felt and what was to come.

The man smiled again in his chair. "So, so, you have finally come. Took your time, didn't you? I have been waiting centuries, but that is no matter, for now I have my chance. Come closer. Why are you hesitating? Come closer to see your destiny!"
