Episode 2 Summary
Episode 2
Sakura was sleeping and then Keroberos woke her up. She was at first shocked to see him but then remembered all the things that had happened the day before. Touya calls her and she goes down to eat breakfast.
While Touya was cooking, he asked her how she had gotten up so early. She said that she had someone to wake her up but then she realized what a mistake it would be to say that. To cover up, she quickly said it was the alarm clock. She says good morning to her father and her mother's picture. She finishes breakfast and stomps on Touya's foot when he makes fun of her cooking. ^^ She goes upstairs to give cookies to Keroberos and tells him he could watch TV if he was bored but couldn't leave the room until Fujitaka and Touya had left. She then leaves on rollerblades.
While on her way to school, she makes a short stop at Yukito's house. When there, she is sad to find out that he isn't there. Then he appears from behind a bush with a broom and gives her some flowers to take to her class. She thanks him and then leaves (almost tripping).
She is the first one in her class but Tomoyo comes in very soon after. Tomoyo tells Sakura that she has a video that she wanted to show Sakura. Tomoyo takes out her video camera and presses Play. Sakura watches a recording of a girl flying on a stick with wings and a little orange creature. When Tomoyo zooms in, it is obvious that the girl is Sakura. Sakura is very surprised and yells out loud causing Keroberos to pop out of her school bag to try and save her from an imaginary Clow Card. Tomoyo happily recognizes Keroberos as the creature in the video.
Later on during lunch, Tomoyo and Sakura sit together with Keroberos. Sakura explained to Tomoyo a little about the cards and Keroberos. Tomoyo finds a new nickname for Keroberos (Kero-chan!) Kero is annoyed though because he thinks it makes him sound like a frog. Sakura asks Kero what he was doing in her school bag and he said that he wanted to see what her daily life was like. Sakuar shows to Tomoyo her seal and her staff and key. Tomoyo asks if Sakura has a special pose and other things like that because every magical girl has poses (according to her).
Some mysterious things are happening while they are talking. Some shadows of the other students are moving on their own towards the school. When Sakura, Tomoyo, and Kero come back to the classroom later, all of the desks and some other school equiptment had been stacked up into huge piles. Tomoyo asks if the mess could have been caused by a Clow Card.
When Sakura is home, along with Kero and Tomoyo, they talk about the possibility and Kero agrees with Tomoyo. He tells Sakura that she has to go back to the school that night to capture the Clow Card. Sakura is extremely unhappy because of her fear of ghosts in the school. Tomoyo decides to go with them to videotape Sakura's exploits and also wants to design Sakura's costume.
That night at the school, Sakura and Kero wait for Tomoyo to come. Sakura is worried and Kero tries to reassure her by saying that he was there to protect her, but she wasn't very convinced. ^^ Then a limo and a van comes by and Tomoyo gets out with many bodyguards around her, which impresses Sakura a lot. As the bodyguards leave, Tomoyo shows Sakura the inside of the van. It is filled with a horde of costumes that Tomoyo had all made for Sakura. Sakura is also a bit reluctant to change into her outfit of the day: a red and blue costume with a long red cape, a big bow and a matching hat. Kero also gets a small red bow to tie around his neck. Tomoyo tells Sakura that special situations need special clothes and Kero agrees.
Tomoyo has her camera ready and they look around. Sakura hears something and Kero senses a Clow Card as well. Suddenly, the school's statue lifts into the air and flies at them. Sakura and the rest jump away and the statue shatters in front of them. Tomoyo notices the statue's shadow is controlling the statue. As the shadows gather together, Kero identifies the card as the Shadow Card. Tomoyo and Kero back up as Sakura gets her magical staff out. Sakura tries to use Windy to bind the shadows but it fails to work. Shadow begins to hurl itself at her and she uses Fly to get away with the advice of Kero.
Kero tells Tomoyo that the weakness of Shadow was light. Tomoyo gets an idea and rushes into the school with Kero. Meanwhile, Sakura is trying to dodge desks thrown at her by Shadow. Then it wraps itself around Sakura's staff and pulls her closer towards it. At that moment, all the classroom lights turn on, making the shadows go away. Tomoyo's idea had worked! Sakura gets away saftely and Kero shows her where the real form of Shadow is: a dark hooded figure. She dodges all of Shadows attacks and stops close to the card. Sakura casts Windy to bind it again and captures the card.
The next day, Sakura arrives at school with a present to Tomoyo to give thanks. Tomoyo was in the video room watching the video of Sakura from the night before. She says that from now on she would videotape all of Sakura's Clow Card adventures as well as make costumes for her. Sakura is surprised and embarrased.
Leave it to Kero-chan (Kero-chan ni Omakase)
On this episode, Kero-chan describes Sakura's frist battle costume that was made by Tomoyo. The outfit is red, white, and blue with some yellow lining. It includes a red hat with a large red cape and bow that has metal buckles on the ends. It also comes with long socks (more like a mini pantyhose) as well as red and white shoes. The Kero-chan check is the hat, the bow, and the metal buckles on the ends of the ribbon.
