There are Clow Cards stored inside. //Sakura opens the book Sakura: There's nothing inside. Kero:That's the trouble! //Sakura falls over If the Clow Cards get out of the book, they can do bad stuff. Sakura: [ok ok] [um um] Bad stuff... Something like stealing dinner, breaking a flower, or not doing homework, staying up too late...? P.31 [Osaka Original Fan Chop!] //Kero does a Fan Chop thingy at Sakura Kero: Not something that petty! //Sakura flies away "Clow Cards. When the seal is broken, disaster will befall this world." Not joking...this is serious. Clow Cards are magic cards created by Clow Read, a very powerful magician. P.32 Kero: Each card is alive and has a name, form and magical powers. For example a Wind card has the power of wind. The Fire card has the power of fire. The cards Clow created are very powerful. They do what they want and no one normal can beat them. That's why Clow made a book and sealed the cards in them. He put me, a Creature of the Seal, on the cover to guard them. Sakura: [Really?] P.33 Sakura: So, how come the cards aren't in here? Kero: {sweatdrop} Something must have happened when I was sleeping on the cover. Sakura: You call yourself a watchdog!? Kero:Things happen in life! [Come on!] This is the point! //Kero thrusts his paw out It takes magic to open this book. Because you opened the book and woke me up means you have the potential to use some magic. P.34 Kero: What's your name? Sakura: S...Sakura. Kero: Ok Sakura. Stand there. Sakura: Hoe? Kero: Key of the Seal. //Key starts glowing There is someone who wishes to form a contract with you. Sakura: [To Tomoyo-chan...] %I have been in the same class with %Tomoyo-chan since third grade. %Smart, beautiful, and daughter of the CEO of a big company called Daidouji Corporations. %She's rich but still really nice.
