Vol. 1, Chapter 1
Before the story begins...
Story:
Touya, Sakura's brother, and the king sees her as she arrives in the palace. Like in CCS, he dislikes Syaoran a lot and calls him a brat. ^^ Sakura gets mad and they begin fighting. They are stopped by Yukito-san, the priest, who has news about the excavation taking place. Apparently, the the remains lead underground in a sort of road.
When Sakura leaves, Touya and Yukito reveal that they are childhood friends as well. They agree together that Syaoran is Sakura's soul mate and Touya doesn't seem too happy about it. Yukito says that he can see trouble waiting for the two and that Sakura had a strange and very strong power that can change the world.
In her room, Sakura looks outside and sees the magnificent exacvation. Sakura confides in herself that she will tell Syaoran that she likes him tomorrow, when she is interrupted by a beautiful sound. It is a bell sound coming from the ruins. Sakura is pulled towards the sound and a dreamy look comes over her face. She is standing precariously on the edge of the balcony and suddenly sees many visions. Then she sees Syaoran just like he is in the short section before the story started, calling out her name. The next day, in the excavation site, underground, Syaoran sees a strange marking on the ground, not of the land of Clow. Suddenly, Sakura greets him and gives him bentou to eat. Sakura sees the pattern on the floor and recognises it from her visions from yesterday. He eyes go into a trance and strange things begin to happen. An earthquake starts and above ground, people in black ninja-like clothes suddenly pour out to where Touya and Yukito are standing and attack the people of Clow.
Meanwhile, Sakura is floating in the air above the same pattern, now huge upon the wall. Large wings sudenly sprout off of Sakura's shoulders.
At the same time, an unknown man siting on a chair in an unknown place comments to himself about a new power being reborn with wings, aka Sakura.
Back at the excavation site, the pattern behind Sakura comes out of the wall and begins to enclose her in. Syaoran, frantic, runs to try and save her. He grabbs her body in time and her wings disappear but as he holds her in his arms, her body begins to grow cold. An unknown woman with a black dress tells him he has failed.
The unknown man far away smiles to himself and tells himself that now he will have to power to exceed space.
Syaoran rushes above ground with Sakura in his arms to see the king, Touya amidst a field of dead bodies. He is alive but wounded and has been hit many times by the black men's poisoned swords. Yukito vows that he won't let Touya die. He then reads Syaoran's memory and finds out that Sakura's wings had been enveloped by the wall. Yukito then tells Syaoran that the wings are the Princess's mind. All memories from birth until that day were in those wings and are now gone. That means Sakura is gone too - a vacant body. Yukito then delivers Syaoran to another world, to someone with the same moon power as him called the witch of demension to help save Sakura. He raises his staff and right away, Syaoran sees a beautiful woman in a long black dress and frantically asks her to save Sakura!

An older Sakura and Syaoran than from CCS seperated by a glass wall, both trying to get to each other. Suddenly, Sakura grows huge wings which make her fly away from her beloved Syaoran. Syaoran calls out her name desperately.
In Clow Country, Syaoran is the son of an archeologist, Fujitaka, who is uncovering remains for the country. Sakura, the princess of the Clow Country, visits him and is very very glad to see him there. She even calls him her important childhood friend. ::flashback:: Syaoran and Sakura met 7 years ago when Syaoran's father was interested in the remains of the Clow Country. But before the excavation could be finished, Syaoran's father had died. Syaoran lived on, helping out working at the excavation site. Sakura then begins to tell something obviously embarrassing to Syaoran (-^^-) before being interrupted by the castle bell. Before she leaves, Sakura promises to tell Syaoran what she was planning to in the future.
