In February of 2000 ~Tiger~ received an authorization request on her ICQ from someone by the name of Burmea, and she accepted like she almost always does. The request reason given stated that Burmea was from Newfoundland, moved to Nova Scotia and then to Ontario where he resides now. ~Tiger~ found that rather ironic that Burmea and herself shared the same story, she was born in Newfoundland, moved to Nova Scotia and lived in Ontario as well. She was really looking forward to hearing from him. For weeks she would receive messages from him but he would never been online and when Burmea received her message she had sent him she would never be online. It seemed they had worked opposite shifts, he was working a winter program which meant he could work all night and sleep all day, she was working days and slept all night. They tried very hard to connect. Then ~Tiger~ took sick and had a few days off of work and decided she would go online, to her surprise Burmea was there too. They talked for a little that day and started to connect from there on, on February 14th Burmea sent ~Tiger~ a valentines card through email and at this point she became very interested in getting to know him better. They finally decided to speak on the phone so Burmea called her and they spoke for a few hours on the phone that day. He made her laugh a lot and he was very sweet to her. About a week later ~Tiger~ found out she had to go back to NS so she notified Burmea through ICQ and asked for him to call her which he did not too long after. She left Waterdown ON and went to her cousin's place in Stoney Creek ON, where she talked to Burmea every day at least once. Now they were getting closer and learning more about each other. They decided when she had to go to the train station in Toronto ON on Feb 26th,2000 they would meet there and spend a few hours together. They met right out front of the station and spent 2 hours together before she got on the train and headed for NS. When she got on the train she opened the letter he had given her, tears swelled up in her eyes because she couldn't believe she was leaving him behind for someone to snag up.
~Tiger~ stayed in NS for a little over a month and the entire time she called Burmea every day and they wrote letters to each other. He won her heart. Then in April of 2000 she moved back out to Ontario and they've never spent a day without talking to each other since then. She lived in Brampton ON and he lived in Oakville ON where they could only see each other on weekends, then she moved to Oakville to be closer to him, they started to see each other a lot more frequently. Then on March 15th of 2001 they moved in together. It's been a year since they moved in together and they are still as in love as they were before. They've been together for 2 years now and plan on staying together for a long long time.
