Mel and I are telepathically linked. I am going to dwell on this subject this evening. To help you better understand what I mean, I shall give the definition of “telepathy” directly:
Telepathy: The supposed communication of one mind with another at a distance by other than normal sensory means.
Yes, Mel and I are capable of communicating with our minds. I can talk to her without using a phone or the Internet. She’s in Wahnapitae and I’m in Markstay, and we can talk. Ok, well, maybe we can’t talk, but we can say little things. Like, if I said “Hi” to her right now, through my mind, I bet you she’d answer back. But I have to really think about her and think about her getting my message for it to work. And then there are the times like this one:
Last week I was going back-to-school shopping with Mel and I had only about ten minutes to get to her house. Normally, it should take me about 15 or 20 minutes to reach Wahnapitae, but on this particular day I was forced to exceed the speed limit and pass quite a few vehicles. It was quite the spontaneous decision to go school shopping, so I really had no choice! Anyway, halfway there I had this REAL feeling that Mel was telling me to hurry up, so in my mind I thought, “I’m hurrying, I’m going as fast I possibly can right now! I’ll be there soon!” When I reached her house she said that she HAD been telling me to hurry up. So, I telepathically heard her, and responded on top of it all! And then we have our little moments where we say the same things at the exact same time. We have a tendency to say entire sentences together! Or we’ll be listening to a song and we’ll tap our feet at the exact same time, the exact same way. It’s so odd, but cool. I enjoy it.
In reality I do believe I have a minute amount of psychic powers. I can predict songs on the radio like normal people can predict that water will come out of the tap when they turn it on. I’m THAT good! When a song plays in my head for no apparent reason, I can just turn the radio on and it’s playing on at least one of the channels, and sometimes it’s playing on several. You may think I’m stretching my story a little, but I’m telling this in all the truth possible! You know that song I always talk about, “Everything You Want” by Vertical Horizon? Well, that song haunts me. I thoroughly enjoy it and love hearing it, but it gets to the point where it’s ALWAYS on! I’ll turn on the radio in my room and it’s on. I’m on my way home from work and it’s on. I turn the TV on a music channel and it’s on. And then I get really good, listen to the radio for a long time then say, out loud, “Next up, Vertical Horizon” and guess what the radio guy says? “Next up we’ll have a little bit of Vertical Horizon’s “Everything You Want”. That’s a true to life story! Ask Mel, or Maryse, or Roxanne! They were in the car when I did that! I totally praise myself when I predict something to a tee! I enjoy being partially psychic. It’s fun being able to predict stuff. I’m no pro, but I get my moments. |
