Raw Report - March 29, 2004
Cincinnati, Ohio - US Bank Arena
The Hurricane is on his way to the ring when he is attacked from behind by
Triple H. Helmsley knocks Hurricane down on the ramp before throwing him into
the Raw set. No doubt, getting revenge for Hurricane celebrating with the other
RAW Superstars when Triple H was drafted to SmackDown!
In the back, Shelton Benjamin is on his way to face Triple H on the main event.
After a pep talk from Chris Benoit, Benjamin runs into the Hurricane, who is
holding an ice pack on his face from the attack by Triple H.
Hurricane tells Benjamin, "Do us all a favor tonight: take Triple H down!" He
and Shelton shake hands and hug before Benjamin heads off to speak to Mick
Foley.

Hurricane vs Joey Matthews
Old OMEGA Powers face off as Matthews taunts and pushes the Hurricane. The match
gets started, they go into a collar and elbow tie up, Matthews putting Hurricane
in a waistlock from behind. Hurricane breaks the hold, flips Matthews over his
head via fireman's carry into a headlock. They go back and forth mat wrestling,
exchanging headlocks. Matthews whips Hurricane into the corner then receives an
European uppercut when he charges. Hurricane goes to the top, but Matthews goes
to the outside, sitting on the apron and drawing boos from the crowd. Hurricane
goes over and grabs Joey's hair, they struggle and Matthews drops him across the
top rope throat first. Off the ropes Matthews delivers a neckbreaker across the
top of his leg to the Hurricane for a two count. Hurricane into the corner and
Matthews nails him with a stiff clothesline for another nearfall. Matthews
wrenches Hurricane's neck before cinching a chinlock. Hurricane breaks the hold,
jamming his elbow into Matthews' gut. Hurricane into the corner, Matthews
attempts a clothesline, but Helms ducks it then nails the floating neckbreaker.
Hard shots, both men's hiptosses are blocked, and Hurricane drops Matthews with
the underarm neckbreaker. Hurricane to the top and flying crossbody for two.
Helms sets up the Eye of the Hurricane but Joey blocks it and pushes 'Cane into
the ropes. A Shining Wizard is ducked, and Matthews gets a two count with a
Northern Lights suplex. Joey tries the neckbreaker again, but Hurricane blocks
it and blasts Matthews with the shoulder wrecker. Shining Wizard for the three
count.

Hurricane vs Rosey - Capture the Midget
match
These segments ran throughout the night.
Eric Bischoff's creation
Raw Roulette returned tonight. Bischoff is talking to the showgirls when the
Hurricane and Rosey make their entrance.
"Holy wheels of misfortune! The
Hurricane and my faithful sidekick Rosey have heard that we have a match
tonight, and we're here to find out what it is." Bischoff says it's going to be
Hurricane vs Rosey and goes to the wheel to determine a stipulation. The wheel
lands on Capture the Midget.
"In the name of all that is short and
stout...wassupwitdat?!"
Fernando, the midget in question, crawls from beneath
the wheel and, on Bischoff's command, takes off running. Bischoff explains the
rules, but the Hurricane isn't too happy about the match.
"Eric, 'midget'
isn't a very politically correct term. What if we refuse?" Bischoff says they
can refuse if they like, but the stipulation becomes "Loser Gets Fired" match.
It doesn't take Hurricane long to make his decision. "I see. Rosey, you wait
here." And off the Hurricane goes after Fernando. Rosey stands around for a
moment then realizes what's going on and he takes after his mentor and
Fernando.
Val Venis and Lance Storm are talking to a couple of unknown women
when Fernando runs by. Rosey meets him and attempts to capture him, but Fernando
spears Rosey right where it hurts the most. But Fernando isn't safe for long;
the Hurricane has a net and barely misses the pint sized fellow. Fernando runs
off and in process knocks a man into some steel railing.
"You can't run
forever, little fiend. Sooner or later, your little legs are going to get
tired!"
Hurricane is back to chasing Fernando. The man joins the chase, and
Rosey stumbles behind, still feeling the effects of Fernando's spear.
Terri
is interviewing Shawn Michaels when Shawn points out that there is a midget
looking up her skirt. She slaps him away as the Hurricane cries out, "There he
is!" The chase is on once more with Terri joining the race.
Shots of outside
the arena is shown when the camera pans over to Fernando resting by a truck. His
rest doesn't last for long. The Hurricane, the stagehand, Terri, and Rosey are
still after him, Hurricane's still branding his net.
The chase finally takes
them inside the arena. Fernando is still eluding his would-be captors and jumps
into the safety that is JR's lap. Hurricane looks perturbed as Lillian Garcia
announces JR as the winner of Capture the Midget. Hurricane and Rosey are none
too happy about that decision. Hurricane is still brandishing his net when the
segment ends.
