BRAILLE PRINTING INFO

 

 

AIM :

 

A) TO PRINT IN BRAILLE SCRIPT FOR BLIND PERSONS THROUGH COMPUTER.

 

B) TO PROVIDE WIDER RANGE OF READING MATERIAL TO BLIND PERSONS.

 

 

 

HOW DID THE IDEA STRIKE ? :

 

Around 3 years ago on 9th August 1999 my cousine Mr Sunil Shrikrishna Paranjpe

expired due to Heart Fail at an early age of 43 years.

 

My Sister-in-Law  Mrs Swapna Sunil Paranjpe & My Niece Miss Manjiri Sunil Paranjpe

took the decision to donate eyes. After Eye-Donation we came accross with Blind persons

& their plights.

 

My THINK-TANK got activated  !  and an idea of Braille-Through-Computer immerged,

after rigorous hardwork (Day & Night) of Two & Half Years a software was born which

was Christined as     "MY VISION".      It is a combination of Software & Hardware

(National & International PATENT pending).

 

 

WHY THE NEED AROUSE ? :

 

A) It has been observed that Blind Students have to wholely depend on the READER for daily

     studies & on WRITER for written exams.

B) Co-ordinating with Reader & Writer is a very tough job.

C) Conventional method of printing Braille books is a very costly affair.

D) Braille Script books through conventional method are NOT Durable.

E) Conventional method is very much time consuming. It takes Approx. 1 full day for an A-4

     size paper.

F) By any chance, if anything goes wrong in-between printing one have to throw the Page in

     Dust-Bin.  It means Loss of Time, Energy, Material & Money.

G) Blind Students from 8th Std. onwards does not have their Text Books, Guides, Expected

     Question Sets etc. in Braille Script therefore, they have to ask for the help from others.

 

 

SYSTEMS REQUIREMENT  :

 

1) Computer System i.e. Pentium 4 or compatible.

2) Ink Jet Printer (with modified Nozel, Driver, Ink)

3) Colour Scanner (for Scanning different Images, Sketches, Diagrams etc.)

 

 

 

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SYSTEM  :

 

This process is a first of its kind in the "WORLD".  When any "Text" is entered in computer

system, it can be converted to BRAILLE Script through Software developed by us.  The

BEAUTY of this software is that it provides the facility to print it on PLAIN paper & that to

in an EMBBOSSED fashion, which is never before achieved by any one till date.  The job is

done faster compared to conventional method of Manual Embossing.

 

 

 

THE PROCESS  :

 

First, any text (Alpha-Numeric) is to be entered through any one of the available PAGE EDITORS.

Then, Software Programme is to be run on the said entered Text. which will convert it to BRAILLE

Script.  Next, another Software Programme will PRINT the whole matter on any ordinary Plain

Paper in an embossed fashion.

 

 

 

PROPERTIES  :

 

1) Conversion from TEXT to BRAILLE Script becomes faster because of the use of Computer.

 

2) In this system PLAIN paper is used in place of conventional Thick Brille Paper.   This itself

    CUTS the cost.

 

3) Conventional Embossing system is not MUCH durable,  whereas this new system provides

    LONG LIFE to the printed matter.
