SUJI: A life that was MNR

Tests & Examinations

One of the plus points of being at MNR was that you were assured of having a regular semester with examinations at a proper time. The pre decided exam dates would only change if there was a natural calamity. Although you had proper tests, in my opinion, these tests tested more of your memory power than your skills and knowledge. There would be 8 questions and you would have to attempt almost half, just 5 of them. Again, the questions would be sequentially made in the order of the chapters of the prescribed book so that you could easily skip anything that bounced off your head. Moreover, lot of the questions would be picked up from your tutorial sheets. So the only job for you would be to reproduce as much as you could. The quality of your Photostat would finally decide your future at the teacher’s box office. And good God, if your teacher was graceful enough to reward you a handsome sessional, then nothing would stop you from clinching Mount Everest. Yes, the sessionals were almost one-third of the total marks and could make or break you, depending on what you, or more importantly your teacher, made of them.
