SUJI: A life that was MNR

Landing in the land

After a journey of a day and a half, we finally reached the land of Triveni. It was raining cats and dogs as we stepped out of the train. The coolies, rickshaw pullers and yes, the pandas were prompt enough to do their usual job. Finally, we took a tonga (a horse cart). As we were going through the streets, I looked around the shops and the people and felt as it I had been here before. We went to Bharat Sevashram. After having our lunch, we decided to go to the college. Soon, we came to realize that Allahabad had a poor bus service and the main means of transport were tempos better known as ‘Vikrams’ and ‘Arjuns’. My mom remarked,” How do so many people get into such a tiny piece of transport?” We sat in the tempo and were off to the college. The board was there – MONERECO welcomes you – some students from Kerala were sitting in the corridor. Some registration formalities could be done and we did. The actual registration was to be a day later.
