The following text comes from the personal notes of the social advisor of Koronor, Emperor of the Imaan Empire. It is an understanding I cannot expect mere citizens, farmers, soldiers, even artisans, or our well educated scientists, to understand in it's fullest form. Imeus, Albarint, Imer, then name doesn't matter, actually the name is not his at all, it is just given by us mere servants of the Empire to express our thoughts, to share the common idea of our faith. To speak of Imeus, as our people call him, or her, I don't really know how to describe our God, for Imeus is All. To speak of Imeus is for most people a way of grasping, reaching for a force that is present in all of us. But nothing is more true, it is not that the God is not present in all of us, even more so, the God is US. But to fully understand this, the implications it brings with it. How can we expect the poor people that have barely enough food for one meal a day to understand that they are Imeus. That they are what they believe in. Imeus is not a god like those of the Riders of the Plains and Winds in the East. Not anything like their Gods, who quarrel amongst each other and make their people their pawns in Divine games of Chess. No, Imeus IS us.Or to better put it. We are Imeus. We are God. Those who understand should act accordingly. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Religion: Imaan God: Imeus, Albarint, Imer, Alleral, Ordi, Imri Culture: the Empire of the Imaan Description: The Common Folk Imeus is not a god in the mythological way of speech. Imeus, is rather an entity, a state of mind, a way of thinking. Among the uneducated people of the Imaan Empire, Imeus is talked of as a personality who is perfect in each way and is made up of all. The God is neither Good nor Bad, Tall nor Short. Imeus is the One without opposites. The people believe to all be part of this omnipotent god, some are said to have the aspect of the writer, some are said to have the aspect of the Bold Warrior. In this way Heroes are defined as having an Heroic, special aspect of their God, Imeus. The scholars The mystical scholars of the Imaan Empire see Imeus as themselves. Their own divinity projected into the image of a god. A god with a name, so as to project this image to the lower class people in the Imaan Empire. Scholars belief that their Empire and everything involved with it is the body and the social structure the mind of their God. Again the say about people with special or exceptional talents, that he has the aspect of ....... .For the scholars this reflects merely the talents that the person has in it's context to soceity. Imeus is the Empire and it's citizens and is in all of it. The Good the Bad, The Beautifu, andl the Ugly. |
