Hi, it's me, Suki (Virtual Places and ICQ) aka Sockie (in PowWow which I have not used in a long, long time), but my real name is Socorro.   It is a Spanish name and I have a mix of Malay, Spanish and maybe Chinese ancestry.   I migrated to Australia in December 1987 and now live east of the Mississippi River on the Central Plains of the USA.

Born in Manila, Philippines, I was raised in Quezon City, once the capital city of the Philippines, the Pearl of the Orient.   I love the Philippines, but a combination of economic and other reasons attracted me to live in Australia where I lived for 12 years.   Australia like the USA is a melting pot of many cultures.   My parents, two brothers and their families live there. Besides them, I have left many good friends.



I worked as a computer systems support person at the Help Desk in a government agency in New South Wales and I enjoy my job and most of the people I worked with there.



I was also a covenant member of the Disciples of Jesus Covenant Community in Sydney.   I have been a covenant member from October 1984 until I left in July 1999 to marry my husband, Howard and live in the US.   *Smile*
