| About me...... My name is Sulata,as most of you already know....I also go by Bachchu and Bach. I love music. I love swimming. I have rediscovered the joys of reading. I like writing. I love collecting quotes and one liners. I like to think.....a lot.I am obsessed with female action heros(buffy, dark angel's Max etc). And today is your lucky day coz I am gonna write about each one of these things(and more)....in detail. So now would be a good time to hit the 'back' button on your browser! My life pretty much revolves around music. I like to sing and play my guitar when noone is listening. I love singing in the bathroom and pretend to be a rock star....which has led to many near missed accidents.I can listen to anything....depending on my mood....EXCEPT metal,death metal and stuff like that...they give me a headache and metal heads usually scare the crap outta me.... Lately I have discovered a love for alternative rock music. I listen to a lot of Coldplay(Trouble,Yellow,Brothers and sisters,In my place), Lifehouse(Hanging by a moment,Everything, Breathing), goo goo dolls(Acoustic#3,Iris),third eye blind(Deep inside of you, jumper), fountains of wayne(Radiation vibe ,Troubled times), Sense field(save yourself) and stuff like that.I Love Travis(More than us, Flowers in the window,Turn) . My favorite vocalists are dido(Thank you , Isobel, Here with me) and Sarah McLachlan( I love you, Angel, Sweet surrender, Do what you want to do) and if I am in a REALLY mushy mood(which isnt often) Peter Cetera. I love to listen to classical guitar when I am relaxing. I cant get in to all the songs I like coz the space just isnt enough for that. I started swimming(rather attempted to learn) when I was 11....and I was PETRIFIED of the water.But I was small for my age and really thin so my dad wouldnt listen to any of my stomach ache-headache excuses and made me go to swim camp anyway. However the first swim camp I went to had a bunch of IIT students as instructers who were delighted with all the women around them ,and being 11, Tuks and I never got much attention....any attention actually! SO needless to say we didnt learn....and I was still petrified of the water.So the next summer I was back to square one and this time I learnt!!And since then I have been crazy about swimming....also becoz I like to think that I grow bigger and stronger everytime I finish a lap*flexes her muscles* I have enjoyed sketching and drawing all my life...I am not very good at it but I love it anyway. I started pottery painting last year and for a while even considered going into business full time with ambica....we had this whole label thing planned out....imagined being rich and famous....we even went to the Dharavi slums to get our supplies....twice!.....lasted about 3 weeks and we never sold anything coz we were emotionally attached to everything we made...*sigh* I contradict myself ALL the time.....which is good really ...coz I have loooong debates and elaborate conversations with myself and I really enjoy them:). I am a terrible judge of character and the first impressions I form of people are almost always wrong. I HATE it when people ask me dumb questions and expect me to 'open up and share whats on my mind'....I HATE pens that dont work....I cant stand people who think they have all the pain in the world. |
