The Leonic Breeze
I have developed a superior air filtration and air circulating system which I named after myself for lack of anything else to call it: The Leonic Breeze. I took a 20 inch box fan made by one of the oldest fan makers in the USA, Lasco Products, Inc.,
and attached a high velocity natural fiber filter (NaturalAire) with super dust-holding capacity that cleans air by removing potentially harmful dust, pollen and allergens. It is reusable and will produce great results up to 12 months with simple cleaning. It is bacteriostatic meaning the natural fiber material it is made of will not promote the growth of potential harmful bacteria. The filter is manufactured by PrecisionAire :
Independent testing performed by Air Filter Testing Laboratories, Inc. showed that Naturalaire’s dust-holding capacity is the best among similar competing products. See chart below.
I developed this system 3 months ago and put it in our bedroom. Since then we have:

Today we performed a visual dust test We have an 18’ x 25’ family room with a cathedral ceiling (about 5,400 cubic feet of air) with 2 sky lights. Every day my wife complained about the dust particles that could be seen in the sunbeams as the sun passed across the roof. I set the system up in the family room on an 6 foot step ladder, always keeping it in the sunbeam. Within 5 minutes there were very few dust particles in the beam. We let it stay there for several hours as we did other things. When we returned to the room my wife exclaimed that the room smelled cleaner than ever before. On inspection, there were no dust particles in the sunbeams!

In my 30 years experience dealing with filtration systems, it is my opinion that anything that does not have a fan will not move much air. If a device is quiet, it sure cannot be moving much air.
