FROM ANOTHER
ROOM

A gentle breeze drifted through the
open French wooden doors of the bedroom that Nick and Kevin shared. The cool
night air floated in between the silkiness of the sheets that had been previously
wrapped and twisted around the two while they languidly expressed their love
and feelings for each other, in the best way that they knew how. The breeze also flowed over Nick’s bare body,
bringing him out of his deep, comfort-induced slumber. His arms slowly moved out across the bed,
obviously reaching out for someone who was responsible for his satisfied,
uninterrupted sleep. When he realized that his hand was gripping nothing but
the silk sheets, Nick opened his eyes and sat up, running his fingers through
his tousled blonde hair. He then raised his arms into the air, stretching
carefully, feeling as though he was on a wave of pure bliss, even though
he and Kevin had long since finished
one of their slow, ardent sessions together.
“Kevin?”
Nick received no answer. The only answer that he got was the sounds of
the city below, and that came in the form of a cab sounding its horn, a window
breaking, and the shrill of a police siren in the distance. And then he heard the sound of music drifting
in from another room in Kevin’s Manhattan apartment. Well, an apartment it was
not. A house it was more like, just without a garden, a yard and stairs.
Nevertheless, the apartment had Kevin’s taste and style written all over it,
from the black leather couch to the champagne flutes that Kevin and Nick drank
from. Everything was custom-designed to Kevin’s liking and like everything in
the apartment, so was Nick. Nick knew that he was indeed designed to make Kevin
the happiest and most satisfied man alive.
And so, he would.
The two men complimented each other
perfectly, as though they were made for each other. Nick was an impulsive
blonde who acted solely upon emotion and was ruled by the heart more than the
head, so he needed Kevin to calm him down occasionally. Kevin was just a
fraction too much on the serious side, so he needed Nick to loosen him up, and
the two met each other in the middle. And because of that, the two were
irresistibly drawn together like no other people in the world, which made Nick
want to stay with Kevin more than he usually let on.
But this time, this time was
different…
Nick recognized the music to be from
a piano and he could faintly hear it. Sighing softly, sleepily, Nick stepped
out of bed, his legs stretching slightly and began to walk towards the sound of
the music. He didn’t even bother to get dressed, and that was the last thing on
his mind, anyhow. Attire. He walked out of the bedroom and down the hallway
that led out to the large living room. His eyes became aware of the glowing
candles that were situated in every place that they could be. He raised his
eyebrows curiously, but shrugged and continued walking through the living room
and towards the music.
“Kevin?”
When Nick stood at the slightly ajar
door that opened to the room where the piano was situated, he pushed it open a
little further and stepped through. He looked around for a moment and then his
eyes became aware of what was sitting before the piano, next to the open doors
that led out to the deck, and stopped suddenly, gasping softly at the sight. He
was staring at Kevin, Kevin’s bare body somewhat glowing angelically in the
moonlight that was streaming in through the doors, his fingers dancing across
the piano keys with expertise, candles burning brightly around the piano, a
bottle of red wine and a glass half-full of the liquor perched on top of it.
But all that Nick’s mind was really
registering was Kevin and his naked body, how his fingers moved so expertly,
like Nick knew they did, and how his body swayed slightly with the movement of
his fingers while he played soft, seductive music. Nick bit down on his lip and
continued to stare at Kevin, himself in an awestruck trance. There was nothing
that he could do but look, and look he did. His blue eyes trailed very, very
slowly over Kevin’s body, his eyes widening as he did. Nick’s heart began to
quicken its pace as he gazed over Kevin’s calves, his thighs and how
beautifully toned they were. He couldn’t stop himself from fantasizing about
Kevin’s perfectly shaped legs wrapping themselves around his own, like they had
so many times before. Nick let out a soft, tiny cry from the thought, but that
didn’t force him to take his eyes off Kevin for a moment.
Nick took in Kevin’s flawlessly
sculptured arms, his muscles on full display, and thought of how much he loved
those arms holding him, keeping him safe, protecting him from any harm and most
of all, loving him. Kevin’s broad
shoulders and chest, and sometimes Nick could even feel the beating of Kevin’s
heart against his own, and he loved that, too. It was as if two hearts were
beating as one. Nick’s eyes then fell on Kevin’s lips, and Nick felt his own
tremble while he reminisced about Kevin’s sweet and soft kisses that Kevin
would place on him, most of the time spontaneously. He loved Kevin’s eyes, the
deep blue-green of them, like the depths of the ocean and how, magically, they
seemed to hypnotize him and make him want Kevin so much that…well…it was like
obsession. But not quite.
More like adoration.
“Kevin,” Nick whimpered, his whole
body feeling weak, as though he were made of water.
Even though it was only a somewhat
soft cry, it was loud enough for Kevin to hear. Kevin immediately stopped and
turned slightly, a small smile playing on his lips. “Hey. You’re awake. Been
standing there long?”
Nick fumbled for an answer.
Everything that he had been thinking about was whizzing through his mind and
all he wanted to do was…well…be able to have some control over himself. “No,”
he whispered huskily.
Kevin narrowed his eyes slightly and
with one finger, motioned for Nick to walk over to him with a little knowing
smile on his face. He then patted the space in front of him on the seat.
“C’mere.”
Nick nodded and walked slowly over
to where Kevin was sitting and took several deep breaths as he did, his heart
beginning to race once again because before, just starting at Kevin sitting at
the piano, surely must’ve made his heart stop. But he wasn’t sure or he wasn’t
aware of it, because all he was aware of, all that he was aware of, was Kevin.
Truly and utterly. In some weird and twisted way, Kevin was all Nick thought
about or ever wanted or needed. Nick knew that he had never, ever wanted or
needed anyone or anything the way he desired Kevin to be in his life for
always.
So yeah. Maybe it was obsession, after all.
Nick stood in front of Kevin,
frozen, as if in a daze. Well, he knew he felt slightly dizzy, as though he
were going to faint. But, he’d blame that all on Kevin being naked, his
unclothed form basking gloriously in the silver moonlight. He then felt Kevin’s
arms wrapping themselves around his waist slowly and then himself being lowered
to the seat in front of Kevin, between Kevin’s legs, his back against Kevin’s
chest so that he could feel Kevin’s heart beating, his thighs resting against
Kevin’s. But what Nick could feel most of all was a certain something of
Kevin’s that made him aware of how erotic Kevin thought that the two of them
sitting together, naked, before a piano with burning candles and drinking red
wine really was.
Kevin leaned forward, reached for
the glass of red wine and placed it in Nick’s hand. “Drink this,” he murmured,
lowering his head and placing his lips against Nick’s neck, softly nuzzling the
soft, smooth skin of Nick’s throat.
Nick brought the glass to his lips
and carefully allowed the red liquid to flow down his throat, soon warming the
pit of his stomach in a pleasant way. He closed his eyes, the glass held in
mid-air but still in his hand, and reveled in the feeling of Kevin’s arms
around his waist, Kevin’s lips on his neck, Kevin’s body wrapped around his
own. Well, Nick felt like he was being killed slowly, being killed softly,
seductively. He felt so many nice emotions, emotions that he wanted so badly to
enact upon and in the worst way. Not that the two of them together, expressing
their feelings and love was a bad thing. In reality, they believed that the way
in which they showed their love was the most natural, most beautiful, most
passionate thing in the whole entire world and they believed that they shared a
deep love that most could only ever fantasize about.
“Kevin,” Nick whimpered softly
again, his eyes opening slowly, his stomach weak, “play something for me.
Please.” It was the only way he could stop Kevin from what he was doing before
he’d want to just turn around, throw Kevin to the floor and really and truly
enact upon what he was feeling. Not like he had never done that to Kevin
before, of course, and he was quite certain that Kevin had thoroughly enjoyed
himself…
Kevin chuckled deeply, knowingly
and, to Nick’s relief, stopped killing him. He made himself more comfortable
against Nick’s body and released his arms and placed his fingers on the keys.
“Keep drinking,” he purred into Nick’s ear, “and think of nice things, sweet
things, sexy things, like you and me…”
Nick soon heard the music begin
again, the music that had woke him out of his sleep and he closed his eyes once
more. The red wine made him feel a little sleepy, but what made him feel sleepy
most of all was the fact that he was so comfortable where he was at that
moment. With Kevin. He kept his eyes closed and continued listening to the
music, and began to think of what Kevin had told him to. Nick started to
imagine him and Kevin, in a place much like where they were right then, just
sitting together and enjoying each other in the best way they knew how. He imagined that Kevin would take him into
his arms, hold onto him for dear life and never let go, tell him that he loved
him more than anything and then slowly but surely he imagined that Kevin would
take off his clothes and drink in his body with his expressive blue-green eyes.
And because all of Kevin’s feelings were usually mirrored in his eyes, Nick
would know that Kevin loved every last inch of him.
And then Nick began to imagine that
Kevin would take off his clothes, ever so slowly. Nick heard himself let out a
soft cry. He wasn’t sure if it was out loud or within his dream, but it didn’t
matter. He didn’t care. Nick imagined Kevin kissing him, soft and syrupy
kisses, seducing him with each and every kiss. He imagined a beautiful vision
of the two of them, naked, twisted together in a silent and desolate room that
only held each other and their love. Nick could feel himself breathing very,
very deeply, almost panting. He bit down on his lower lip and kept his eyes
tightly shut, like he never wanted to open them again. He could almost feel
that fire burning in his stomach that usually did whenever he was with Kevin
and it seemed to burn infinitely. He continued to imagine them together, but
now he imagined him and Kevin to be totally engrossed with each other that
every kiss, every touch, every caress seemed to make that fire burn more
intensely, more passionately and now whatever was between them was not soft and
sweet but like a raging blaze, setting fire to everything in its path.
With his free hand, still keeping
his eyes closed, he squeezed Kevin’s thigh firmly, his breathing incredibly
hoarse that was punctuated with several soft, helpless moans. “Kevin,” he
panted desperately, his grip on the wine glass loosening and about to slip out
of his hand to shatter on the ground, “please…stop…”
“What do you want me to do?” Kevin purred
teasingly with a hint of sly laughter in his deep, melodic voice.
“STOP!”
Nick cried.
Obligingly and without
hesitation, Kevin immediately stopped
and with ease and skill, like he had done this many times before which, he
probably had, he quickly turned Nick around to face him and pulled him into his
lap and kissing him hungrily. He removed the glass from Nick’s hand and placed
it on top of the piano, not breaking the kiss for a moment, knowing that he was
feeling exactly what Nick was feeling. And he knew what Nick was imagining and
it had taken every last ounce of will power and control that Kevin had in his
body to stop himself from wanting to carry Nick over his shoulder, throw him
down on their bed of love and show him just how he really felt. His eyes
fluttered shut and he soon became aware of Nick’s arms wrapping themselves
around his neck and Nick’s legs wrapping themselves around his back and
securing them there tightly, like their bodies were covering each other.
Kevin tangled his fingers through
Nick’s short blonde hair and pulled him closer, their bodies molding and
pressing together, passionately kissing while they held onto one another. Both
Nick and Kevin could feel themselves beginning to heat up and that heat between
them was easily burning onto each other like red amber flames. But now, because
they had been together more than once and for a long time, their love and
affection and the way in which they displayed that had matured into a deeper,
more satisfying and more lasting show of this. Instead of just touching each
other anywhere or kissing each other anywhere to gain a reaction of any sort,
they both knew where to touch each other, where to kiss each other and more
importantly, just what reaction they would gain from it. And so…anyone could
call them experienced lovers without any hesitation.
Nick pressed his forehead against
Kevin’s and stared deep into his eyes, to find that Kevin’s eyes were lowered
to where his hands were, which were on Nick’s hips. Nick bit down on his lower
lip and his eyes fluttered shut once again when he felt Kevin lifting him up
slightly and finally, after what seemed like agonizing millenniums of Kevin
just holding him at the waist, he found himself in a familiar place, like it
was somewhere perfect, just for him and Kevin. Maybe like a paradise, like
utopia, where no one else could exist but them, where no one else could find
them or try to break them apart. And because he loved that familiar place so
much, just like he knew that Kevin did, it only made the affair more beautiful,
more sweeter, for the both of them.
Nick felt as though he were on a
rollercoaster, their every gradual movement taking them both higher and higher,
and he hung onto Kevin as though he would fall off if he didn’t. He was totally
overcome with everything that he was feeling and he kept his eyes closed while
his lips found Kevin’s once more and he soared higher into his imaginary sky.
Overwhelming waves of ecstasy began to wash over his body in succession, each
wave longer than the last, each wave slowly but surely pushing him closer and
closer to his peak.
They both lost themselves in each
other, luxuriating in their slow, satisfying rhythm that they both knew well
and adoring every last inch of each other’s body, gently fondling and caressing
each other’s smooth texture and silky skin,
drawing out every last bit of tension and excitement that they held for
each other. And also insatiable desire,
and what seemed to be an undying combination of lust and love.
Their cries of tender love
harmonized perfectly and echoed through the silent room, Kevin’s somewhat deep
and silky, Nick’s slightly higher-pitched and dulcet. But together, it sounded
like the most pleasing music ever created, and each sound that was heard was
punctuated with pleasure and satisfaction that neither could keep quiet or tone
down. Nick felt as though his whole body was soaring into the air at lightning
speed, as though he couldn’t get enough of what Kevin was providing him and as
he kept on returning Kevin’s soulful kisses, his body that was slick with sweat
began to shudder, and he could sense that Kevin was just as close to his peak.
With one last cry from both Nick and
Kevin, Nick opened his eyes to stare intensely at Kevin while they quivered
simultaneously, smiling softly when he heard Kevin declare his love for Nick in
his sweet way, both breathing heavily, their hearts racing. He leaned back
slightly, resting against the piano, inviting Kevin to lean forward and caress
his neck with his lips. Nick titled his head to the side, giving Kevin more of
him, and twisted Kevin’s hair around his fingers, both rocking each other
slowly in their arms. Kevin placed his cheek against Nick’s shoulder, pressing
a tiny kiss there, and Nick stroked the nape of Kevin’s neck with the tips of
his fingers, his eyes fluttering to a close again.
Kevin raised his head and kissed the
tip of Nick’s nose, sighing happily. “I love you,” he whispered.
Nick, not bothering to open his
eyes, smiled sweetly. “Said that already,” he whispered back.
“Nick…” Kevin murmured, caressing
Nick’s forehead with his lips, “you – ”
“Shhh,” Nick purred, kissing Kevin
tenderly to silence him. “I want to go to bed with you now.”
Kevin chuckled faintly. “Love to.”
Nick curled up closer to Kevin,
wrapping his arms around Kevin as Kevin stretched out against the silk sheets,
glancing over at the curtains that billowed in the cool wind. He moved closer
until both their bodies were pressed together. He watched with a loving look at
Kevin’s eyes closing and the peaceful look that crossed his face. Nick reached
over and ran a finger down Kevin’s cheek, which made Kevin smile.
“Kevin?”
“Hmm?”
“Do you think girls…women…would be turned on if they ever
saw us together?”
