We all knew her ...differently..but the same...as a mother, a wife, a lover, a daughter, a sister and a friend. Someone you could confide in and she would always find a way to make you laugh through your tears. She had a way with words that Shakespeare would be proud of. Her love of life and of family was beyond description. She loved the LordShe was our wild roseShe was Handmaiden
She was our Cheri......

The Alabaster Box

Do not keep the alabaster box of your love and friendship sealed up until your friends are dead. Fill their lives with sweetness. Speak approving, cheering words while their ears can hear them, and while their hearts can be thrilled and made happier. The kind things you mean to say when they are gone, say before they go.
I KNOW YOU'RE THERE

Your watching my every step,
even when I go to bed,
I know you're there,
When I am scared or
when I am happy
I know you're there,
On those sunny days when
all the birds are singing
and I am all alone,
I know you're there,
I can not see you but yet,
I know you're there,
And yet I know I will join
you someday,
"For today I know you're there"

Maybe I should lighten this up a bit..I can hear Cheri now..."LORD have mercy..she's made me into a saint!!!" *laughing*
*whispering..as she points at Rex* He THINKS he races..actually he reminds me of one of the little ole ladies that you get behind and curse at cause she's going less than the speed limit!!!! *laughing hard*

Cheri was there for me when a special someone flew in to meet me in person for the first time...it was my birthday gift from him and I was a nervous wreck. Rob and I went to Rex's race that Saturday night and found that Rob's and my internet handle was on Rex's car...along with Buffy...another friend from on the internet.

Cheri and I would laugh and scream and hollar at Rex as he slid across the muddy race track...There were times when she would grab ahold of my arm and squeeze as he slid into other cars..or spun in circles as he came around a corner too high..and BELIEVE me..she can SCREAM!!! *cringes* She was his biggest fan...And according to Rex...his ONLY fan!!! (his boys out of loyalty, obviously occasionally cheered for their dad but deep inside were closet Jeff Gordon--fans....*laughing hard*

I got to witness Rex's very first FIRST PLACE race. Cheri got big tears in her eyes as he crossed that finish line..I watched her as she beamed proudly as he did his lap around the track alone. She loved him so much and was so proud of him. *winks at Rex*

Time is not, in God's great land
Where love is his only command
There are no tears for anyone to cry
Where only sunshine fills the sky
There is no death by our Lord's grace
Where lofty angel's dance, sing in place
There are no fears to ache in your heart
Where all are free to feel God's Love
"By Robert L. Deppe"

Rex...This is for you sweetie! I gotta say it..... I want to use this opportunity to speak to those of you that know Rex and felt they knew Cheri...and to those that didn't know either of them but came across this web site.

Cheri was a loving friend...a confidant..to alot of people on the internet. She gave of her time and energy to anyone who was in need of a hug..a gentle word...a listening ear...words of encouragement and at times lost sight of who she really was first and foremost.......a mom and a wife. She spent many hours...days listening or reading messages from those that needed someone to hear them. She gave everything she had to everyone she touched.... My message to you all is and I guess it would be from her and her family..The day could come where someone you love could be taken from you suddenly as Cheri had been..and all those hours, days, weeks and months can NEVER be retrieved! Cuddle your child, husband, lover, family members...hold them close to you..tell them you love them each morning...Tomorrow may never come!

      "TILL WE MEET AGAIN"

Fly high my sweet friend...let the angels carry you on their wings. Watch over us...your family and friends...pray for us...so that one day we will be together again! We love you Cheri! *big huge massive hugs and kiss*
      Till we meet again...
Vicci aka little 1 and her girls
