God Probably Exists!

We only live once.  You may have spent much time thinking about your major, your career, your girlfriend or boyfriend...but when did you last think about death?  Are you prepared for it?

There are a lot of things about life which are indefinite--whether you're going to be rich, whether you're going to be famous--but the one certainty about life is that you and I are born to die.

So think about it:  Is there a Maker to all of this, or did the creation of this world occur by chance?  Think about it objectively.  Islam levels with you:  don't have blind faith.  If Islam is wrong, then don't believe in it; but if Islam is right, then don't go half-way.

Is there a God?

Athiests say there is no God, and agnostics say that they simply don't know.  So let's ponder over this question rationally.

Obviously God cannot be seen, heard, or felt.  By definition, God is beyond our sensory faculties.  Because science relies upon observation, we will not be able to employ the scientific method to arrive at an answer to this question.  We will have to follow a rational or logical method, instead.  Let us use the Law of Probability.

We cannot, again, quantify God, but we can try to quantify the intangible facts we have about this world.

If you had ten marbles, each numbered from one to ten, the probability that you could pull them out of a bag, in order, is quite slim, to say the least!  Assuming you put the marble back into the bag,

To pull out the first marble, the odds are 1/10 or 1:10.
To pull out the second marble second, the odds are 1/10 X
              1/10, or (1/10)^2, or 1:100.
To pull out the third marble third, the odds are (1/10)^3.
To pull out the fourth marble fourth, the odds are (1/10)^4.
To pull out the fifth marble fifth, the odds are (1/10)^5.
To pull out the sixth marble sixth, the odds are (1/10)^6.
To pull out the seventh marble seventh, the odds are
              (1/10)^7.
To pull out the eighth marble eighth, the odds are (1/10)^8.
To pull out the ninth marble ninth, the odds are (1/10)^9.
To pull out the tenth marble tengh, the odds are (1/10)^10,
              or
1:10,000,000,000, or ten billion.

Though the probability for success is certainly there, in mathematical terms
0.0000000001 is essentially equal to zero.  To give you an idea of how large ten billion is, consider the following analogy:  If you were to count a number every second--neglecting food and sleep--it would take you 317 years of incessant counting to reach ten billion.

So if the probability to pull ten marbles sequentially out of a bag in one in ten billion, what, do you think, is the probability that the universe--with all of its yet unexplored galaxies--should come into being?

Think about your own existence for a moment.  Your heart will beat over 2.8 billion times during your lifetime.  Is there a hydraulic pump in the world which can match its productivity and life?

And consider your eyes.  Have you ever used a manual camera?  It is a painful process to manually focus objects in your view finder to achieve maximum resolution.  Yet your human camera continually focuses and re-focuses as you see.  It also gagues depth, adds dimension, and distinguishes between about seven million colors--something which no artificial camera can do.  What is the probability that this organ developed within human beings by pure chance?

The human stomach contains powerful acids which are strong enough to dissolve zinc, but they are prevented from eating through the stomach.

In this fasion we could ponder over our kidneys, our brains, lungs, tongues, hands, bones, and skin.  We could consider our digestive, circulatory, reproductive, olfactory, endocrine, and muscular systems.  We might pause to marvel at the process of sleep--and then, that of dreaming--only to be stumped, like the world's scientists, at the mystery of
