GOD

I believe in Jesus
I believe he is the son of God
I believe he died and rose again
I believe he paid for us all

And I believe that he's here now
Standing in our midst
Here with the power to heal now
And the grace to forgive

     That is a song I learned in my youth group. It has a lot of info packed into it that I will try to elaborate on. The first two lines are kind of self explanitory. I believe in Jesus; that he is the son of God. Now it gets, well, not more complicated, but it covers more in each line. I believe that God loves us so much that he sent his only son, Jesus, here to earth to die for us. Because Jesus did this, we are given the opportunity to believe in him and be saved. Three days after Jesus died, he rose again. In rising again, Jesus, well, conquered death. While here on Earth, Jesus went through everything that you and I go through. All the same kinds of temptations, and all the sorts of pain, proving that a perfect life is possible, but not without God. Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sin, which is death. Through his blood, we can be saved and spend eternity with God. Jesus is here, everywhere, right now. He lives in Christians as the Holy Spirit. (This is a little hard to explain on the screen, but if you have questions, feel free to email me and I will do my best). When Jesus died on the cross, he died for everyone; not just for "good" people. No matter how bad you are, or what you have done, God still loves you and desires for you to repent and come to him. If you think you've done too many bad things for God to forgive you, or you think you won't have enough time in your life left to live for God, remeber the theif on the cross next to Jesus. Even after murdering and stealing, all he had to believe, and he was saved. ( Read Luke 23:38-43.)

     Though I could go into a lot more detail, and will if anyone wants me too, that is the basics of what I believe. (Believe me, I could go on for about a year and a half... : ) )
