Dara, Star of Thai Wild Bill of Old Royal Siam   As we were determined to give all our own kittens jewel names, we knew we had our first shiny gem the moment she opened her eyes. Her nickname is 'Flummy' (those rubbery bouncy balls) because she is rarely seen sitting still, and if she is not bullying us into throwing that same ball for her to fetch (and fetch, and fetch) she finds something else to play with if nobody else can be persuaded. Crissy was the runt of the litter, but knew from the first moment that she was 'mine', and made it very clear she was to stay. Total mummy-child, who is not ever far away from me. Since we were so afraid for her when she did not want to gain weight, she was spoiled rotten, getting whatever she wanted. And what she wanted was PEOPLE food: Mooooooom, I'm SOOOOO hungry, but ewww, cat food.... is there no TUNA today? Or liverwurst, or chicken, or salmon, ooooor?????? A very energetic and determined little lady, who will surely keep us on our toes. When the others can be persuaded that the keyboard is NOT a prime lounging ground, shoving HER off from whereever she deems she needs to be to 'help' is not an option. She is turning into a beautiful girl, a bit dark perhaps, and a tad more modern than the other girls, but with a fantastic eye color and silky coat. Very attentive, constantly in need of petting, already butting head, and purring like crazy, we could not have wished for a better girl. We are very curious about her future in the show circuit. The very first time she participated she was lively (sitting still, yikes, SO boring), but not overly nervous, and she won best in show, which reduced me to a shaking mess (it seems, it is still a bit different when it is your first OWN kitten being called on stage).   11 weeks old   4 weeks old (with auntie Joy and Mom)   2 Wochen alt   |
