First of all, try to find out what you're allergic TO. If it is anything organic, try to find honey or pollen that comes from those plants. Taken throughout the year in little doses, the body is used to it and does not act up as violently as usually. It is a common misinterpretation to avoid one's troublemakers instead of desensibilizing the body. However, if you do get struck, good ole nettle to the rescue. Drink stinging nettle tea until it comes out of your ears (or 1-2 cups per day, or add to your regular herbtea mix. Or take capsules. Or tincture)

Nobody knows exactly why, maybe because they are such a great blood cleanser and flush out the system, but most patients notice relieve within a few days, and upon taking nettles into the daily routing year round, even severe allergies disappear alltoghether, never to be seen again. I was allergic to cats (I'm breeding Maine-Coons), hay (I have a horse), and grass and pollen and all seeds that fly (not a good thing for a wildcrafting herbalist, as you can imagine) PLUS I got nettle fever when being so much as in the same ROOM with the dried herb, never mind processing it for storage. I would not be caught dead without this blessed weed, and harvest pounds over pounds on a lovely pasture in the forest every summer. I have even begun to be relatively uneffected to their sting (even in the face). I feel it, but there is no reaction whatsoever beyond the initial pain. My spring treat is young nettle leaves stirfried in a bit of butter with seasalt and nutmeg.
