This past year has been very trying and difficult on all of us. The September 11 terrorist attacks on our nation have shown us just how vulnerable we are in spite of all our nation’s military might. It has definitely been a wake-up call for all of us Americans. It has shown us that the day-to-day lifestyle that we take for granted can come abruptly to an end. It has shown us that we must go back to basics – to our personal trust in God and to walk the path of our individual Christhood – in order for our families and nations to be safe. The Ascended Masters had warned us through the years that the day will come when war will come to our own shores – and it surely has come. It is time for us to put God first in our life, and to decree for the safety of our families, communities, nation, and our world - before it is too late.

We should not wait for another terrorist attack or a major cataclysm to strike before rushing to a church or study group to pray and decree! We must hold the vigil at all times. We all have reasons for not being able to attend services regularly – myself included! Some of us have health problems, some financial, some job related, and others a list of other special circumstances. However, I am certain that we will all find that in placing God first, all our problems will be resolved. This is an incredible opportunity to serve God, I AM THAT I AM, in mitigating personal karma and local, national, and planetary tragedies and cataclysm. Participating in regular decree services with our local study group makes our decrees exponentially more effective and powerful, for oneself and for humanity, and goes a long way in protecting our nation from her enemies.

Your input – your flame – is a vital part of the study group, and the course the study group takes will not be the same without it. We should search our hearts and attend the services that we are compelled by God to attend. Personal matters will fade as God finds a solution for each and every problem that we have. With a strong participating membership, our study group could make a global difference in achieving a gentle transition into the golden age, as Saint Germain envisions, instead of through war and cataclysm.

As said before, Community is the key to our Victory! Community is coming-into-unity! Our decrees are multiplied thousand fold when we come together! All our problems can be resolved when we come together. It is required by God that we work together to earn our Ascension! Tackling our problems individually can be a long and tough journey. Let us recognize the strength in our unity. We are called to come together to strengthen and support one another on the Path. The following is a short teaching from the Ascended Masters on community which we should take to heart.

"In the community there is enshrined the worth of the individual as the individual is able to integrate consciousness with others who serve in the wave, the ongoing wave, of Life. Community is part of the training given in the retreats of the great Masters; for there comes a time on the Path when each initiate is required to prove that he can be effective not only alone with his God, but all-one with fellow servants on the Path.

Thus in community, in coming into unity, sons and daughters of God learn of shortcomings, of failures; and they unite their strengths to overcome their common weakness. Thus united in the Flame, they are able to tackle the problems that beset each member of the group and each cell. You see, then, that a retreat experience and an experience in community is often that link to Hierarchy which must be had ere the individual initiate can rise to a greater level of awareness.

We come then to the subject of community as the repository of individual worth and individual genius. The flame that is enshrined in the community is the Flame of the Holy Spirit."

Weekly Services

Our Sunday Service is held at 10am

A service of union for the Mystical Body of Christ, the antakarana of Light, for the World Wide Ashram of Chelas of the Will of God and the Ascended Host. Includes sacred ritual, application of the Science of the Spoken Word, focused meditations, a message from the Ascended Masters or presentation of the Teachings, adoration and Holy Communion.

On Saturday from 6-10pm we hold our Saint Germain Service

Standing with the Knight Commander conducting the decree work for healing, wholeness, and personal and world transmutation invoking the Violet Flame of the Holy Spirit.

This is now being held as a Keeper’s decree session for members of the Keepers of the Flame Fraternity and we are offering classes and services on Wednesdays as an additional public service.

Typical attendance has been 3-5 people.

Special Services

Para Nirvana

Attendees joined in a reflection on and a celebration of the Way of the Buddha.

Easter Service

Members joined in the joy of the Resurrection of Jesus and made calls to the Spirit of Resurrection and to the regenerating flame for the community and joined in a time of fellowship following the service.

Wesak Service

Members celebrated the birth, enlightenment, victory and teachings of the Lord Buddha and the birth of the Buddha within. Attendees joined in songs, mantras, decrees and the symbolic bathing of the Buddha and enjoyed a taste of Buddha Pudding afterwards.

Keeper’s Decree Sessions

Once a month for several months (prior to reverting Saturdays back to a special service for Keepers only) we held a Keeper’s Decree Session near the end of the month for an opportunity for an intensified service for members.

National Protection, Healing and Union

On September 11^th, 12^th and 13^th members came together to make the calls for strength, protection, healing, and clearance for the nation and its leaders and for the victims and there loved ones.

Michaelmas

Attendees made calls for the empowerment of service as well as resolution of personal and world struggles. Songs, decrees, scripture recitation and Archangel Michael’s Rosary were applied in a service dedicated to the Archangel.

A Reflection on Ramadan

Attendees celebrated the gift of revelation and the mystic path with songs, decrees, and a reflection on the Koran, reclaiming the ninety-nine names of Allah, and the mystic teaching of the Sufi Muslim.

Christmas Eve Service

Individuals and families were able to come together to listen to the story of and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, to thank Jesus before the manger, and make calls for the birth of Christ within.

Outreach

The Body, Mind and Spirit Expo that we had been participating in was not held this year. This had been our major point of outreach in previous years.

We have continued to offer presentations as well as videos from the Church’s cable TV series. The mailing list we have developed has been used to send out announcements of presentations and events each month as well as an event and holy day calendar to the Keepers of the area. We also have put together a simple brochure of the activities and spirit of the group.

Community

We seek to support one another on the Path – to encourage, exhort, and be a practical assistance when possible. We have organized several group fellowship times throughout the year and have continued to work at various times with the small group study model as well.

We had a fellowship time at our center in April following the Easter Service.

In September we held a get together in the Manchester Commons.

We also had a Christmas party in December at a member’s home with a game of Cosmic Journey, a nice Pot-fortune fair and some good time of sharing.

Our group has begun participating in the Community Feedback program with Summit Lighthouse Headquarters. We have collected feedback on the organization’s speaker policy from active members and will compile a summary. We intend to extend this to non-active members in the area to keep them informed and give them a channel to connect through.

In October we had the fortune of airing the Church’s Communicant Class for several members considering communicant membership.

Strengths and Challenges

Our group has always been open and loving. We have also had a strong focus on exploring the rich teachings available to us and have looked for avenues to expand our knowledge and help each other grow. Our center has been able to gather a good amount of materials for learning and spiritual work. We have worked to step up the intensity of our services and provide a focus for decree work around issues and events as well as member’s prayer requests. We have been a small group that has worked together well.

The challenge remains such a small group working to maintain this focus while balancing the aspects of life and working to lay a foundation for growth and the opportunity for members to apply their talents. We need to develop other avenues for outreach and community penetration and encourage members to apply their talents to build the study group they want to be actively involved in…
