Cotton Candy a Siamese Sable doe owned by Becca and George

I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the little Jersey Wooly my husband and I bought from you. She is such a joy! She is so smart and funny! Her name is Cotton Candy and her favorite thing is playing with her plastic ball. It has a bell in it and she loves to hear it ring. As soon as we walk to her hutch and open the door, the first thing she does it to get her ball and bring it to us. She then plays fetch like a dog. When she is inside the house, she plays with our boxer named Storm. They even napped together once, which I failed to get pictures of, next time. Well, we just wanted to thank you and let you know how much we love her.

Emma and Harry owned by Alice

Emma, a smoke pearl doe, joined a family who already owned a Jersey Wooly buck named Harry. Both of these rabbits have been spayed and neutered which enables them to live happily together in this fantastic, two story condo of a hutch or as Alice calls it 'The Big House'. Alice reports they happily nuzzle and nibble each others ears.

Emma posed a problem for us here at Summer Breeze. She seemed to be a throwback from the days when Jersey Woolys were derived from the angora rabbit. She has incredibly thick, dense fur which was going to require a lot of grooming throughout her life. We were not sure what to do with her. We were concerned she was going to become too much trouble  in a new home and would be doomed to a life of matted misery.

Then along came Alice. You see, Alice is a spinner. She makes things like hats, mittens and scarves out of  Wooly fur. It couldn't have been a more perfect match. Emma and Harry are earning their keep by donating their fur and staying well groomed in the process.

We had one more favor to ask of Alice. Emma had a sister with the same type of fur. Emma's sister, now named Gracie, is living with a friend of Alice's, also a spinner.

How would you keep cool during the hot summer wearing thick coats like Emma and Gracie? Alice reports both rabbits love to be sprayed with the hose.
