Hi! My name is Austin Jerremy Hyte Hendrickson and I am First Sergent of Sumter Composite Squadron. I truly love Civil Air Patrol, but more about me... I am a Senior at Calhoun Academy in St. Matthews, South Carolina. I live in St. Matthews. I LOVE soccer and play varsity for my school. Also, I am involved with student council, SCISSA (our state's student government), FCA, and some other volunteer work. I go to St. Matthews Presbyterian Church. I love playing soccer, hanging out with friends, sleeping, and eating food. My favorite band is Dave Matthews Band; my favorite tv show is the Simpsons; and my favorite movie is Day of the Dead by George Romero. I drive a 92' Police Interceptor (Crown Vic) and have three dogs, two cats, and a monkey.

I think Civil Air Patrol is a really great organization because it allows young people to make a difference in their communtiy, but more importantly it lays a foundation of leadership, moral character, and military training that will prepare anyone for any future endeavors one might encounter. To say the least CAP is unique in that it combines the leadership skills fundement in life with the practical applications of military training. Basically its a whole lot of fun. I am really proud to see how our squadron has grown and developed over the past year and especially how our cadets have changed. No doubt, our squadron is the best.
