Baked Shrimp, New Orleans Style
- 2 lbs. of large shrimp, raw with shell on
- 1/2 lb (2 sticks) unsalted butter or margarine, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 T. of paprika
- 2 t. coarse ground black pepper
- 1/8 t. cayenne
- 1/2 t. salt
- 2 T. fresh lemon juice
- Preheat oven to 450°
- Put the shrimp in a large baking pan and spread out evenly
- Combine the remaining ingredients in a small bowl and mix well
- Pour the mixture over the shrimp and bake for about 10-12 minutes, stirring a few times during the baking process.
- Serve with lots of hot french bread to soak up the butter and juices
