Mayor's Basketball Tournament

Since 1977, the Annual Virginia Beach Mayor's Invitational Wheelchair Basketball Tournament has provided local exposure to top-rated, nationally ranked wheelchair basketball teams.  This 8 team, two pool tournament, is sponsored by the City of Virginia Beach's Parks and Recreation Department (Therapuetic Unit) and Sun Wheeler Sports.  The Saturday/Sunday event is held annually on the third weekend of October at the City's Princess Anne Recreation Center.  Invitations are sent out to teams in June.  If your team would like to be considered for the event call Kathy Williams (757)471-5884 for details.
