Bowling
Although Sun Wheelers no longer sponsors bowling matches and individual bowlers, many of our athletes and members participate in area leagues for the physically-challenged and even compete nationally under the guidelines of the National Wheelchair Bowling Association. There is a local bowling league that has wheelchair and able body bowlers competing together. This is of course a handicap league so that all participants have a good chance at being competitve. The league began over ten years ago with just a handful of wheelchair bowlers and has grown over the years with the introduction of able body bowlers, and the annual tournament held each year for the last nine years.
